The man showed the world the meaning of never giving up. Most in his situation would have given up years ago. He continued to contribute to his last breath. Just an amazing man.

No one expected him to live as long as he did. I've read most of his work (the non-math stuff). One of his last warnings to mankind was about automation and AI - he predicted it would ultimately do the human race in, and he's probably right.
