I remember someone posting that the Tri Glides and Freewheelers have an accessory post connection next to the battery where accessories can be connected without connecting directly to the battery posts. Could someone please tell me where these are? I want to add my heated gear connection. Also, I have Love Jugs, is the Freewheeler alternator adequate to handle heated gear and Love Jugs?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I know on the Tri-Glide the accessory plug, on mine, was located laying in front and a little to the left side of the battery. As far as the stator (alternator) being able to handle heated gear and the cooling fans, should be no problem. But here again I don't know what else you're powering off your battery. First thing I did when I bought my TG was to put a high amp stator on mine so I wouldn't have any issues.

Thanks Texan, appreciate the advice on a high amp stator. I know about the accessory plug, but if I remember correctly someone had indicated there were remote posts connections off of the battery, where one could connect accessories with wire connections, like you can to the battery posts. I have my battery post connections pretty full, Love Jugs, speakers and trailer harness.

On the TG there is a "Battery Tender" type. It was located under the left side panel. Don't know if that was what they were talking about. That plug goes to the battery and can be adapted for just about anything.

I always connect directly to the battery [Fused] for all my Heated gear..

This way there isn't any guess work! and no chance of something else going wrong on a multiple use line...
