So it's time for Sturgis again. Just wondering how many on the forum plan on attending this year. I quit going the year after the mo co quit introducing the next years line up. I may go this year simply to see how many of the old crowd are still coming to the little camp ground in Piedmont (Moonie's Hog Farm) I'd stayed at since the 50th.

You out yo mind bro (rofl). I gave that up long ago. Ditto the sleeping bag and tent. Now I stay in a motel.

We try to go to Sturgis at least three times a year. Don't always make it now that old age is biting hard. But each year for the rally the BIL and I hop in the cage and drive down for the day, just to check out the vendors for any hot deals. Usually come home empty handed. But we're back there on the harleys 2 months later when the fall colors break out...

In fact, I quit buying anything at the rally long ago. I'd sooner support my local Indy.

Our town is too small for a local indy - it's a 100 mile drive for me...

I took a ride up there yesterday just to see all the set up preparations. Lots and lots of vendors there already, many in areas that have never had them before. I see the Chip is advertising the same old drug addled rocker for a "concert" even though he's been dead for several years. (At least he looks and sings that way.). BTW, the city of Sturgis found a great deal on stop signs. Put them everywhere like that's gonna improve traffic flow!

So is mine. My Indy is a 65 mile ride one way.

That's why I'm driving up in the Z06. Staying over night and leaving the next day. Not even going down town.

When we lived in MN we would ride the 660 miles thee each year, Mistake taking the Redhead with in 91, she was like a kid in a candy store. We had fun but she tapped me out in Spearfish @ Langsrtoms Black Hills Gold, NOT the stuff from Stamper LOL

I miss it, The Redheads birthday is August 3, and our anniversary is the 15th, so we always made the trek, and camped in Spearfish. She is a good co pilot and NEVER snivelled, even when she got stung by a bee

Have fun. My oldest daughter, husband and grandson are heading that way today. They are doing a little family vacation. Not sure what they have in mind.

First time was 1996 - 2 day run from Ca (I was younger then) next trip was 2006,

great time......will I go again ??????

Very few bikes headed north from TX. Many headed south on I-35 in Ok and KA.
