touch up paint pens

Rounding a corner,the wife's water bottle fell out of it's holder and left a scratch in the trunk body.

Of course I stop and she runs back to get it....good news..she found a tape measure.

I've been pecking around on google,but haven't found anything in Billet Silver.

Anyone have any ideas or resources?

I scratched the fender on my hour's-old Tri-Glide, On the left fender, About 3 inches long, Blue paint... I remembered an old caveman trick, So I took one of my grandkids blue crayon, And matched the color....Ran it down the scratch, and let it sit in the hot sun...[A heat gun will work also] till it melted in , Then waxed over it, I can not see the scratch at all... Your results may differ, But i never seen a paint pen that covers a scratch without leaving a tell-tail darker line....

If they still have them,Color Rite has them in your paint. If not they will tell what to do with what they have.

Great tip, I'll certainly be exploring that.

Dr. Color Chip worked well for me after I found a scratch on a used car I hadn't seen before we bought it.
