Hi gents,
I have a 03 Goldoing Roadsmith trike and it does not have rear speakers for my better half. It has the speaker grill but nothing inside. My question is does it have wiring going to the back of the speakers already from Honda or does it have to be run from the radio? Thanks in advance

Below is a plug & play kit for 2001-2005 GL1800.
Looks like it plugs into existing harness.

Unfortunately for the 2001-05s, you will need to purchase a speaker kit that includes the needed wire harness and 2 speakers. The connector that the harness plugs into is found under the seat.

There are several kits available. However, for the best sound over a longer period of time, the one Honda makes is hard to beat. It's more expensive, fits without any sort of modifications, and has less squeeching as years pass. Also, since their speakers are only made for a GL1800, the volume does not need to be cranked up higher for them to be heard. Unfortunately, their kit is about twice as much as the others, but for most, they are still affordable. Below is its part number.

As long as you have it open you really should install Polk dB501's in the holes for the rear. they are drop in compatible, (ok you have to replace one screw hole), and will be a slight improvement. a GREAT improvement will be when either you ...
A) add an auxiliary amp, or
B) go see this guy, and have the amplifier upgrade http://www.wingconnect.com/

If you chooses the auxiliary amp route drop me a line and I can give you full instructions on what you will need.
