Not sure the proper thread to put this in, sorry if it's the wrong spot.
I'm looking to put blue LEDs under my trike...had them on my old Street Glide, would like to do it again. Those who have their trikes done, can you post pics of how yours is done? Looking for ideas (ie; in the wheelwells, etc).

Also, I was just going to get the 12" strips from the local Wallyworld, suggestions for kits that have a remote on/off welcome

I have my Venture/Hannigan done with about 500 lights. I still have about 300 or so lights to go on but that will be a winter project.
I will try to take some more pictures. I don't really like how the pictures come out at night.

ON this trike, I went with the "Joe Florida" light kit and upgraded the controller. It was a bit pricey but I really like the "brake" feature. The "Brake" feature is no matter what you have your LED lights doing, scrolling, fading, flashing, steady etc.. whenever you touch your front or rear brakes, every LED turns red. This even works if your LEDs are "OFF"...hit the brakes and all LEDs light up red.

I have about 500 on my 2015 FLRT; I got mine from Custom Dynamics. I have two circuits the first is a general under the body lighting circuit and the other is tied into my brake circuit - when I tap the brakes the whole rear of the trike glows red. It is very effective at night and people do take notice.....

A couple of notes:

My FLRT has the high-capacity alternator kit installed and I use a trailer towing module to power the extra lights - this is expensive; but, it isolates the added lights from the HD electrics and is easily disconnected for HD service......

Not going to do it. I don't want any unnecessary attention to my bike. I consider all those gaudy lights as advertisements for thieves. "Hey douchbag, here's my Harley, come get it". :AGGHH:

Actually digging that "brake feature"...will have to check out "Joe Florida" and Custom Dynamics ThumbUpThumbUpThumbUp

I like the led's and I got most of mine from Joe Florida. I have the standard remote but I really like the idea of the break light that turns on the led's.

Ed, I looked at the Joe Florida website and saw several different models. Which one did you go with and who installed them?

I'm a beta tester for Joe florida and I have 381 pods for a total of 1143 led's on my trike. I can control my lights with my smart phone and create any color and create any lights show I want. With all these lights I'm only drawing 1.7 amps.

... I didn't order a kit I ordered everything ala carte.

That's pretty much my plan. I did it with my Street Glide, and it worked out well (only difference is back then, I didn't have a remote to turn on/off, just a hidden switch)

Thanks for the video too...was very helpful.

Not sure if you were asking me or not. But if so, I'm Dennis.

I installed them myself. Took some time and planning. I had to pretty much lay them out to make sure that the ends would be able to connect to each other. I did not have a trike lift so running the wires down the middle of the trike and securing with zip ties was a challenge to do one handed and not looking most of the time.

I do not have the receipt with me but I believe I bought the biggest set they had and then bought an additional roll which I think was 8'.

I can control the lights with the FOBs or with my phone via Bluetooth. I think I paid too much for everything but I REALLY liked the brake feature so I went for it.

you can call them and they will help design I set up just for you or buy a premade kit and add extra lights now or later if you want.

Using green led's here and there, not gaudy. I wanted to use blue, but was concerned about john law stopping me just for drill, and I don't need that. Don't ride that much at night anyway, so I rarely use them.

My primary, under the body light circuit is composed of Custom Dynamic's "Fire-Flicker" LED sets to give my black 2015 FLRT that "Ghost-Rider" light effect.

I was asked by one motorcycle cop where I got them,,,,he wanted to get that setup for his personal bike......:pepper::pepper::pepper:

This is what I had done to Black Betty. Work was done by Bill at the Neon Cycle. He's based out of Belleville, Il., but I know he travels all over the two state area to shows; I had mine done while he was setup in Grafton, IL. Installation was very professional and he stands by his work as long as you own the bike.

It has fixed colors, cycles through the colors, flashes the colors, or will flash the colors according to the engine sound level, all controlled by a FOB.

Looks really good Scott ThumbUp

Mind if I ask how much it set you back :xzqxz:

I believe the wife paid about $600.00 all total. Much more than I would have wanted to pay, but she really wanted it done, and she's the CFO lol.
