Real Bluetooth for hd with no cable ??

If you look at Harley,s web site for this item there is a disclaimer about it not working with the infotainment system.

Thanks I missed that. I was at a harley dealer parts counter told him I had a 14 trike and asked if this would do everything my cable system would do. Of course he started singing the praises of the new system, well I guess I will have to do some more research

to get what Harley did not do you would have to buy an Indian touring model 2017. there are some videos on youtube by law a binding biker that explain this very clearly.

I have Bluetooth, but it didn't come from HD. We have Sena 20S units mounted on our helmets with a Sena SM10 Dual stream transmitter mounted on the tank. The SM10 is connected to the standard HD headset plug on the tank with Senas optional adapter cable from the 7 pin Din to the audio input port on the SM10.

This gives us Bluetooth helmet to helmet and the bikes radio, or other music source, and GPS instructions coming to the headsets via the SM10 streaming what the Infotainment system is putting out (you have it in headset mode).

This has worked out very well for the last 2 years on our 2015 model.

I wonder if the new apple wireless buds will give you what you need. I know there will be no transmission but I believe I should receive without any issues. I will give a report after I get some time with the son in laws brother, who is one of those tech apple dudes that teaches the apple reps how apple stuff works. Jim

Thanks for the additional information. I ride we some guys that use the CB for bike to bike communication, would I have that capabilitie with Your system?

No, or at least I don't think so. There is a port in the SM10 for a radio, but I've never tried a CB with it, that's research you may have to do to see if it's possible. You can pair our Sena units with just about any other brand if your Buds are also Bluetooth. Most of my riding is touring with the wife and I don't really miss the CB.
