CB

Headset. I use the Boom Half-helmet headset 76572-09... that's one more thing you will need. Here is a list of the parts I used:

Communications Kit (CB Head Unit) - 76000 486
Antenna - 76386-09A
Antenna Mount (On TourPack) - 76000-166
PTT Switch Cover (Push to Talk) - 71500-130

These are the part#s for a '14, you would have to verify with the parts counter that they work for you. I had mine done at Space Coast HD during a Customer Appreciation Weekend, when all parts were 15% off. Total with labor was about $700. The install isn't extremely difficult if you know your way around the inside of the fairing, and HD wiring, but I elected to have them do it, since they will have to flash the radio to accept the new hardware anyway, and I avoided any warranty hassles.

Not the cheapest setup in the world, but it is OEM and it works. I bit the bullet since the group we ride with uses the CB for group ride communications. I have seen and heard some of the aftermarket add-on systems, and I was not impressed.

Good luck on your quest!

Thanks for the reply, i noticed on my 2016 TGU that wiring for the CB Is In place, the empty antenna slot Is wired, under the seat behind passenger you will find the typical CB cable connected. I am curious is the wiring for the PTT is also in the switch pack i currently have. I am thinking all i need is the module and the D/L and antenna.

You are correct about the wiring, as the antenna cable is already there, and the '14 and up use the CANBus so that all you need is the switch pack and antenna. The antenna mount is a small double-ended stud that joins the antenna to the receptacle on the tour pack. The Communications Kit is the CB module itself.

Pretty sure that if you take the list I gave you that will get you everything you need and nothing you don't.

Installed the CB myself on my '16 Triglide. Was pretty easy, except for changing the handlebar control to add the PTT switch. The new switch wouldn't fit! Had to swap parts with the old switch, and that worked. Was impressed that HD has the antenna prewired from the factory.

Did it require a flash by the dealer?

I flashed it myself. Downloaded the latest version from the HD website to a flash drive and installed it on the trike. Easy!

do you mean the latest boom version? I was up to date till now.
i just added my cb and it seems to be their(surprise). i was thinking I was going to need a flash for it and the aux media I added.
