Actually - traiding it in, for a Can-am. Already have a trade in price, but just wondered if anyone is interested in upping their offer. Which was 19.5K. It is worth SO much more, but of course, they have to make their proffit as well. It has every imaginal addesory, Corbin heated seats,, etc. etc. Let me know withing the next 5 days is interested. It is a Honda 1800cc 2010, with 14,000 miles. And not a scratch. Located in Cent.

California.

Not sure what the Can-Am costs but that is a steal price, should be worth a lot more private sale. That baby is loaded!!! If it was on the east coast, I might buy it as a backup to my 05. Would only drive that on Sundays.

They should be giving you cash plus the Spyder.

I do love my Honda 1800 (Motor Trike) BUT I did love the smoothness of the Can-Am, The feeling of stability it gave. The suspension was way better. The lack of clutch (arthritis in my fingers) sure makes it easy The trip-matic shifting up and down was like instant, no need to even let of the gas The ABS integrated breaking -- this thing REALLY stops. The dynamic Stability Control is supposed to keep you out of trouble in different 'events' Not sure I ever want to test that. Passenger ( my Wife) felt more secure, and stable) Storage capacity is about the same, It does not have a CB capability however. Motorized windshield really get rid of any winds, (and rain I suppose). On two lane roads with the crown, it took no , constant effort of pushing to keep it straight. Way less effort in turns (power assist steering) Not a physical a ride.

And according to the literature - the Physics involved with two wheel up front - make it a safer and a more controlled ride.

5-10 years down the road, is your health going to be a problem getting in and out? Or after a couple hours in it? Good luck in your purchase.

Word of advice...

Take your time and try to sell it. The can am isn't going anywhere and I KNOW you could get more out of it than trading it in. Most dealerships don't want trades unless they can make a huge profit off of it. I'm pretty darn sure you could get 3-5K more out of it than what they are offering in trade. It just depends on how patient you can be.

Of course, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

In and out of it ? Its not a "Sling-shot" Its a Can-Am Spyder.

I was a bit confused by the question as well, but you answered it. I wish you well with the Spyder, I've often considered the Spyder RT for the reasons you've described, but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. Seems the dealer is not wanting to give the trade in price you deserve, but then maybe the dealer gave you a good price on the Spyder.

I would definitely sell that beautiful trike, rather than take such a beating on trading!!!!!
I understand the items on the CanAm that will assist you to have more enjoyable riding. Just hate to see you lose several thousand dollars trading!
For example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Gold-...480a7097:g:qpgAAOSwENxXmUbu&item=331921125527

How many bids does he have on the eBay listing It took me 4 months to sell my trike and I had it priced below what everyone thought was market value. What I'm getting at is there are more trikes out there for sale than you think there are and prices are not really what people think they are.
But yeah if he sells it himself he may get more but it may be next year. So I guess it depends on how soon he wants it!

Im not knocking what you're saying ,just giving my opinion, which is worth exactly what you paid for it!✌

Don't know how it is in California. But in NJ there is a sales tax advantage to trading in Verses selling.... So if you sell you have to figure that in also...

Good luck with selling your trike. I am facing some of the same problems you have with arthritis in my left fingers. Sooner or later I'll have to part with my HD and my GW Trike and the Can Am is looking better.

Having owned a Spyder for my first ride, I'm surprised to hear that the passenger was more comfortable on that than your wing. I found the spyder to be much more demanding than my current ride. I loved it, but I sure knew when it was time for a break and same goes for my better half.

See if you can rent one for a few hours might be a good idea....Good luck in any event.

You have to think about the sale tax, if you sell it out right you will pay the tax on the whole thing instead on the difference.
