New member Eleva, WI with bad luck Need advice!

the dealer admits they probably mixed the alcohol/water solution too strong. They told me they have installed dozens of the Harley kits and no problems. the guy who did the install and delivered the trike says they haven't had very good luck with the Harley kit and have had issues with the kit in the past. The dealer refuses to install any film after what happened with my trike.

Noticed the folks from SeeThroughBarz, jumped in on this and offered you some solutions. Take him up on it. Their products are great and VERY user friendly. I've been running with their protective package on my '13 for 2 years and have NO complaints. None. I installed it myself and was a breeze. They furnish you with a liquid installation solution, no mixing, that worked like a charm.

+1 on this. I currently have the HD fender bras on mine. I'm not entirely happy with them.

Are you talking about the HD fender bras for the trike or are you talking about the fender protection film from STB ?

If you're talking about the HD vinyl bras that HD sales, you'll notice in the pic of my bike that I had the brars on my fenders. I have the STB film under the bras to keep them from rubbing the paint. There's a couple places on the fender that the STB material does not cover where the vinyl bra rubs. I discussed this with the folks at STB and they sold me some stock material and I cut the additional protection pieces.

Now, if you're talking the STB fender material I'd get on the phone with them. I can guarantee they will try everything they can to make you post a happy reply.

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I have the vinyl fender bras. They keep shifting around. Would love to change over to STB but I'm a super clutz and a perfectionist. A very frustrating combination
Sorry for the hijack.

Sorry for the hijack.

TGCarol we have worked with all kinds of individuals in applying the SEETHROUGHBRAZ product. In general, each trike owner is a perfectionist. Each wants it a certain way. That is why it was designed to be removed and repositioned as needed until you get it right. I know you got a TAT as a winner of one of the contests. Is it on your Trike? That's the first step Try it.

So you know, we send individual replacement parts as needed to replace the ohoh,s.
If you have any additional questions ,send me a pm. We would be happy to work with you in protecting your trike from damage.

Glad it all worked out for you. Sounds all too familiar. I took a bike to a dealer that was recommended by Roadsmith as one of their top installers. The dealership did not have a paint booth,(the body is sold unpainted) so Roadsmith painted the body and were supposed to put on the 3M protective film on the fenders. The kit came in without the film applied, the dealership said no problem we have a local window tint installer who does this stuff for us. By the time the kit was put on it was cold weather so the dealership brought the trike to me in an enclosed trailer. The first thing I saw was the film, it was TERRIBLE! Looked like some kid put it on. I called the dealership and told them I was not happy and they needed to make it right. They took it back and when their installer tried to remove the film chunks of paint came off too.

Sooooo, they ended up trailering the trike up to Roadsmith who repainted the body and added the film. Now it looks right, but I'm pretty sure I won't be getting any Christmas cards from the dealership. BTW, hello from Iowa, enjoy your ride.
