Blu-Tooth

Stupid question. I'd like to use my Tri-Glide stuff with a Blu-Tooth helmet with integrated speakers and mic. Are these comparable? I am frustrated with the cable device that came with the bike. They want me to hollow out my helmet stuffins to wedge the huge ass speakers in.

Not sure what ya mean....Comparable to what? Or are you meaning compatible with your bike. What year is the Trike? Sorry....Old guy confuses easily....

I meant comparable, sorry. Stupid auto-correct. Trike is 2015. I wonder because my phone integrates with it, and I have the automatic notification if the bike turns over. I want to hear the radio wirelessly.

If the Helmet you are thinking of is new - There should be no problem with the Trike recognizing the unit. And then yes, you will be able to hear the sounds in the helmet with the speaker volume off. But I would surely bring the bike when you buy the helmet to be sure it's the newer Blu-tooth technology. When I bought my 15 I hadn't updated my Phone for a couple of years. The Bike wouldn't recognize the older phone.

As of this time there is no Bluetooth communications system that will connect with the Boom Box on the Harley. I know because I have an Sena 20S and it will not connect with the Boom Box. You can also go to lawabidingbiker.com and check on it yourself.

Are we talking Communication system or just music sound?

Thanks

Wel, that answers my question. The bike came with a "cabled option," but it involves scooping speaker depressions in my helmet. I would much prefer a pre-wired helmet with speakers and perhaps a mike built in, even if I gotta plug it in. I really just want to get my radio through my helmet. I guess I could use the bluetooth just for my mp3's...we will see. Maybe I will check with the dealers and see if they have wired helmets with built in stuff. Seems like a jackass move to include a high dollar sound system and make it hard to use.

Check J&M Audio for helmets with the headset installed in the helmet. My wife and I both have Nolan helmets with the integral headset and love them. I went thru about 3 - 4 H-D headsets and they were a piece of junk. The J&M headsets are quality and they come already installed.
