Rode the two wheeler - first time in over a year. Wow.. wind from passing trucks dont knock ya over, and have to remember to put my foot down at the stops. ;)

2000 H-D

Still ride it single - but can no longer do it, double. I have a Hard time - every time I stop.

2-wheelers

I happened to do the same earlier today , while it
has'nt been THAT long its been awhile since I've rode my 1988 Harley - was great but I still LOVE BOTH......those 3 wheels seem to come easier with time, HA!

woul'da made a nice trike.

Boy - I know. Thought about it a while. but I have a 133k on it, and thought - as soon as I spend 13 thousand, putting on a kit - it will need a new engine, lower end, front bearing etc. etc. (it is a H-D ya know) So decided a honda would in the end, be a better option.

Was a hard decision = but probably the best one. PS, a once a year ride really does not warrant keeping it but also found out a 2000 Hd with that many miles, is just about worth --- only $2000. :( For that, ill keep it.

Here's my story (and I'm sticking to it)

I bought the '88 new and currently have approx.

270 thou. miles on it, certified by H.D., yes it's been rebuilt but still orig engine + basicily stock + orig paint.

:clapping:

Really love my HD trike/58 thou. miles on it.

RETIREMENT IS GREAT!!

ThumbUp

I traded my CVO for that very reason. It was low enough miles to sell for a good price though.
I have 2 Dyna bikes we ride that are light enough for me to handle. I really miss my CVO street glide. However we are really enjoying our trikes.
Freewheeler and GW roadsmith.

I've been riding my Stratoliner this weekend while I'm doing maintenance on my trike ,still love the 2wheeler but have noticed I'm not as relaxed as when I'm on the trike . Converting the Strat.to a trike is in the back of my mind . Thinking it would make a neat solo trike ,I have the GW trike for 2up riding. Anyone know of a kit that is rear end only that will fit the stratoliner ? I would like for it to be a kit I can install myself. Any suggestions are appreciated!

For your Stratoliner....
California Side Car - Vantage Kit
Motortrike - Galaxy Kit

And that looks like it Vantage has a Tour Box nice looking.... Galaxy has no tour Box more weekender style.... FYI

Since getting the trike 2 and a half years ago. Ive put maybe 500 miles on my 2005 Yamaha RoadStar.
I still enjoy the fact that its there when I get the need to ride 2 wheels.
Since its inherent resale value is low and its replacement high.
Ill keep it awhile.
You should feel the same way more or less with the HD.
Keep it.

Mystery has one of the best customer service you will find any where.
the fender IRS package out handles anything on the market. I have tried to get mine on 2 wheels but all I get is being almost slung off from the side g force. It's unbelievable how they handle.

I still ride my VTX 1300 quite a lot and use the trike for mainly wife and myself to travel on, but my knees are complaining more and more when I ride my two wheeler, but I really enjoy the sound and feel of the big V-twin, what I would eventually like to do is buy a low mileage VTX 1800 and trike it to use as a around town sporty ride and the Goldwing for our long trips. Might be getting older but still like my speed.
