I know this has been said before but I just have to comment on the super brace. Just put one on my 1999 Goldwing/California Sidecar conversion and all I can say is wow! Didn't realize how much the front suspension flexed till I rode with the super brace! What a difference! My wife can even feel the difference on the rear seat. Just had to tell somebody!

I hear ya! Plus 1 to your comments.

My 1996 MotorTrike had a fork brace on it when I bought it last month so I don't have any 'prior' experience to compare to. Maybe I should remove it for awhile so I can see the difference! :xzqxz:

NOT.

You GL1800 owners that have installed the brace --- Have you had any issue with it bottoming out and hitting the fender? I seem to remember a few years ago that being an issue but I think it was on two wheelers with OEM springs. The aftermarket Progressive springs many trikes have in them might prevent that....

Also which brand is best? Not trying to start another "mine's best" discussion. I just want observations.... :cxtv:

Thanks Guys!!:xszpv::xszpv:

I ended up getting the BlackWing version of the brace.
It fits just under the lip of the front fender and gives it a bit of support too.
Only negative is it leaves a permanent mark in the end of the front fender where it butts up against the fender.

The SUPERBRACE travels with the fender. It mounts to the Lower Legs of the Frontend, not the Fork Tubes.....:xzqxz:

Thanks Skuuter! See you can teach "Old Dogs" :xszpv::xszpv:

I notice the front end of my 2015 Roadsmith with the 6 degree rake is a little more mush in the corners. From what I'm reading the fork brace should lessen that effect. Do you think it would improve handling in high speed sweepers with rough spots? My pucker factor goes way up there when I get caught sight seeing....:blush::blush:

Jerry,
Have had the Original Superbrace since I bought the bike in 2003, and I didn't think much of it at first as I seemed to be in the always changing front tire mode. After quite a few front tires and much discussion with the Honda District Mgr. and only one free replacement tire and no offer by him to pay to tear-down my front end as him and Honda claimed it was fine I had enough and seriously thought about dumping the Wing and going back to the ST1100 at the time. It just handled like crap in the turns, I hated to hit some minor woop-d-dos from heaving pavement or asphalt as It would nearly chunk you off if you failed to slow down.

I also continued to get tire wear and cupping from the R/H side of the front tire, yep downhill side on a crowned road and the same on flat roads. As I had my money already invested in the Wing I decided to look around for an alternative front end. Checked lots of sport bikes, nearly all of which were to light weight for the Wing and passenger and some gear. Then while on a business trip driving back home thru Georgia I came upon Traxxion Dynamics and stopped in.... three weeks later I was riding with AK20's in the front and the Superbrace and a newly sprung rear shock on the back. This was now a totally different bike...

But back to your question, Yes to some of the above on your trike... stability, more rigid feel, it won't solve the mushy corners or high speed sweepers because the stock front end is very weak and still wants to drift and wallow thru bumpy turns and uneven corners.... Let me preface this by saying that many skinny riders with not near the weight that we carry never have a problem, you know little Japanese sized fellows wonder what we're talking about. When you get to the Eureka Springs TOI get together you can ride a Traxxion equipted Roadsmith that corners flat, takes bumps in and out of turns without rocking, its just a very different ride.. you still have to watch the sight seeing and coming in to hot.... as I still do but just push that outside foot down and turn.. I haven't thrown her off yet... but she my say different as she sleeps a lot back there... Sorry I tried to do a Hi-Jack....

In my opinion, "YES".....it makes the Frontend a lot more solid, quicker turn-in, quicker return to neutral after hitting a bump.....many, many improvements to the working of a Frontend....Thread Title here ("WOW") pretty much sums up my feelings. I've ran Them on 2-wheelers and Trikes and always got benefits, but Trikes benefit the most.....ThumbUp
