Hello
I am going to up grade my stereo and speakers
as long as I am waiting for my hub. the wires coming out
of the back go where. 2 for the rear speakers and then gnd. power , where do the front
wires go, are they just taped up in the harness and go no where?
thought I would ask before I start cutting up all the tapped connections.
Thanx

I don't know where the wires go but, I did splice into the front wires when I added my front speakers. I added 3" speakers to the front, mounted on each side of the behind the steering wheel and 2" speakers above the arm rest. All are powered from the radio. I added a small amp and power the 6 1/2" speakers from the back on the radio thru the amp.

Do you have any pictures of the speaker locations?

Don't have pics as I pretty much a dummy on the computer, but the front ones are pretty close to the top of each side of the steering wheel on the plastic piece that is around and under the steering wheel and the rear are a few inches above the arm rest. Just remember you need to remove the front section to make sure you get the hole centered by the frame and remove the rear seat and feel back to the arm rest area to locate where you want to put the speaker.

Were the front speaker wires in a harness near the dash, also what kind of amp did you use and is it in trunk near the radio?

Thanks, Woody.

Good Morning
I split the wiring and the front wires just goes up the harness and stop.
I decided to go with 4 4 inch speakers and 2 6 1/2 inch speakers. along with a new stereo
also connections to hook up my helmet headsets. I will try to post pictures

Good morning
I went and bought a new sony stereo and installed all the wires for new speakers
and helmet connections. then I tried to hook up the remote rm-x55m remote
and found out they will not work. I guess there are only a few stereos it will
work with and connect. Has anyone else run across this problem
