does the freewheeler have the 30 tooth transmission pulley like the tri-glide ? thought maybe HD might have kept the 32 tooth one on the freewheeler as it's a lighter bike. couldn't find this info anywhere.

Its only lighter by 136 pounds, its still pretty tubby.

OK, so what do you think 32 teeth are going to get you? I understand changing the drive ration; but for 2 teeth, I have to wonder if it would be worth the cost and what you gain or lose?

I am not as skeptical as I am curious on this modification proposal???

If you go to 32 teeth in the front like the 09 - 10 Triglides came with you get a pig which doesn't like 6th gear below 75 mph. There really isn't any fuel mileage savings in the extra 2 teeth, the fuel mileage between 32 teeth and 30 teeth is identical.

Well, that does not really appeal to me, especially for the cost and time......IMHO

you are right about being a pig in 6th gear. I even have a bigger cam and other stuff done to mine and it still acts that way if I put her into 6th before 75 mph.
that's with 2 people riding. Can get away with it with just me on it. I went with a mid-range cam for the type of riding I do.
