My sales order Just started today The end user now can purchase the reverse kit and have it sent to your home. it's all bolt on and no welding.
There is a 3 week build time after the sales order hits the floor.

I will take photos and how to, through my process as well for anybody considering this option. I also will be doing this If I can without removing the Trike Body !

The Carbon_One Aux is not in the way for this upgrade. However if you have the older style Hannigan Aux Tank that would also have to be changed out.

I will be bugging Larry I am sure through out my Build. I think I my be the
first customer for the Retro Fit Reverse. (Love being the Ginnie Pig )

The Kit is $1.095.00 and shipping is $58.00 (this can very)
I chose to keep this project through Hanniagn as I would get Jim's help as well when doing my Install.

Wish me Luck !
I will keep you posted.

If Interested Contact John Lee for more info. He has been wonderful through
this process. Thanks John !!

I am sure I will be calling you back
Yeah yeah yeah. I suppose. I could save the shipping and have B2Dad bring it with him to MD. Not enough lead time though. Keep posting in enough websites Jeff and you may talk me into it!

Yup, the kitchen is almost done, time to work outside...

Sorry I missed you and Don at Carl's!! You guys should have taken the long way home and stopped in!!!

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

Looking forward to the installation photos and commentary. What do you mean "older style Hannigan aux" might have to be changed out? Is there more than one kind of tank? How do you know which one you have? My Hannigan kit was installed in 2012.

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

I have the Carbon-One Tank installed from Larry... Nothing in the way with
his tanks.

The Hannigan Aux tanks have to be changed , do to the reverse gear would hit the tank, being yours is a 2012 it may not have to be. ask Jim .

Now awaiting my Lift Mod from Larry so I can do this install with the body still on the trike *hint hint* I am hoping my parts will be here at the end of this next week from Hannigan, I will also post all the parts I get as well.

STAY TUNNED !! ThumbUp

Jeff

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

Well, looks like my plans for reverse are going to have to be put off until next year. I just got an unexpected medical bill for over $500. Medicare sure sux!!!

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

sorry Bob, next year will be a fine year to add one ThumbUp
I have waited five years.

Getting Closer , should be on my door step tomorrow :)
Get the camera ready !!!

From the day of order 10 Biz days total to the door step.

Part One--

Sorry Guys,,, Loading my 15 photos would take for ever on this site
So to view them go to VentureRider it was very easy to load there.
I could add all the photos at once , this also has a limit. Sorry.
here is 5 of them :)

So the rest of the write up and photos will only be there.

This is part one , Just some photos of what's in the box.

Chihuahua not included.

Also there is a 27 page instruction sheet I almost can understand.

with photos , 1/4 of it is removing the body and aux tank.

Will see now if I can really install this with the body left on the

Trike. It does look as if the body was off it would be easier.

The box and content was wrapped very well with no damage to any parts.

the box weighed 31 lbs. as you can see that was the left over wrap from

all the parts 10* Stars for great shipping and protection of parts.

Here we go !!!

Sorry for some blurry photos. way to tired right now.

The couple photos are of the large resister (red wires )box with them inside

that will be mounted on the false fender , this helps slow the started motor

down a bit as at first it was way to fast.

The Motor was reworked by Hannigan and it is a Yamaha Starter.

The Motor was reworked by Hannigan and it is a (edit) -- Compact Chevy Starter. 1.4 KW

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

I was interested in the reverse project and found that venturerider.com is a PAY site and you can't search. Why not be a sport and post a direct link since you couldn't put the info here.

Did you have to take off the body to install?

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

Could you provide a link to the how-to you did on Venturerider? Without joining, you can't search and I didn't see the article. Thanks - wg

Page 2 in case you can't open it - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78612&page=2
The info you're wanting is on page 2.
Larry BTW: Venture rider.org does have a free 60 day membership for those who want to check it out, then cost is only $12 a year to upgrade for full membership.

Re: HMS Retrofit Reverse is now available to the RSV End User

What Larry said! Venturerider.org is free to view!! Perhaps you accidentally went to Venturer.com which is a pay to view...
