Americade gathering, 2014

OK, getting close here. Are we having a Saturday breakfast/lunch gathering again this year? If so, we need to get plans in the works soon.

Linda and I are up for the week, set a time and place we'll be there.

Sure thing! Still waiting to hear from Joanne (LadyFF) since that may be the only time I get to see her this summer.

Still up in the air with us. Need confirmation on other dates we Need to be there, type of events with Family.
BUT, please keep us posted as to when, where, and what time this event will take place. Just in case!

Bunch of us used to meet at Long Shots on Saturday for breakfast and to watch the parade - Long Shots is closed now.

Last year, a bunch of us met for breakfast up on 9 somewhere (I think it a right at the fork, then it was on the right up a ways but can't remember the name). We went our separate ways after that for a while, then met up at Rite Aid @ 1 or 2, and rode to the Hot Biscuit Diner for a late lunch/early dinner.

Something similar this year?

Yes, I believe you're right. Food was good and prices weren't bad - a bit crowded, but then what isn't at Americade?

I will be there Wednesday through Saturday. Leaving out on Sunday heading to Wellsboro, Pa.

Does anyone know if they opened another Resturant where Long Shots was? According to Spiritdream that was an ideal place to eat and see the parade.
Maybe someone from that area would know.

We will be working as full time Americade Volunteers this year. We will be getting a schedule soon and expect we will be heavily involved with the parade and events following on Sat. If we are done that afternoon then we would love to meet up for a ride. Hot Biscuit was a great time last year and it would be nice to do that again. Sorry I just can't commit to anything yet.

Hi Everyone! Jim went to Philly in Feb for another heart surgery done by 1 of the country's best heart surgeons. He is now cured and feels so much better. He is looking forward to a long riding season as soon as this rain goes away.

May be able to sneak up to Americade for a few days. Not sure if Sat morning might be included. Got a news rider that wants to experience it. Got a free 2 night overnight place to stay. Got to see what work says & what the new rider can get for time off. May be seeing you for breakfast, will be alone, Honey can't do it and the NE TT rally.

Last year's Saturday ride from the Lake George Rite Aid up to Hot Biscuit in Ticonderoga was nice. Diner had good food.
I vote to depart Ride Aid at 1 pm arriving at Hot Biscuit 2 pm. :GL1800:

Our GWRRA Chapter is sponsoring a breakfast at the Queensbury Elks Saturday morning. I think it's $8.00 for an all you can eat breakfast. I don't know about Longshots , I've been by there about 3 times this week but haven't paid attention whether it's open or not.

Well, another Americade by the way side. Early Saturday we will be heading towards North Carolina for our niece's graduation.
We promise we will make it some day! And it looks like Eureka Springs is not going to happen either this year. Sorry Spiritdream, no company this year to Arkansas.
