Sounds like we will be spending next winter here(Jan-Feb-March). What is the riding like that time of year? Weather, areas to ride, etc?

You really have only 2 choices to leave town, north & south But from Parker to the south you have many ways to go & I-40/Kingman to the north is the same. Great temps. for those months, 60's-70's. Az. & Ca. have great riding!!!

We have our 'vacation house' in Bullhead City, about 40 miles north of you. You can catch old Rt. 66 and cruise through Oatman, Az. a real life ghost town tourist trap. Las Vegas in about 120 miles from you, Hoover Dam is about 100 miles. Several 'greasy spoons' along the Colorado River for breakfast or lunch rides. Then there is Lucia's in Wikiup (about 100 miles) for the best pecan pie west of the Pecos. Laughlin, Nv. in about 40 miles so you can gamble and loose your shirt, or win enough for a new Harley. Not sure where you are from, but desert riding can't be beat!!! You are about 150 miles from the Grand Canyon or Sedona. Can you tell I love that area!!

Yea, Screwball is right. I love it here too & I ride even if it's 110+ in the summer. When you get out here & settled in give either one of us a shout & we'll give you more detailed ideas on rides.

We have 2 rentals in Bullhead City. We rented one to a very nice gentleman from Iowa. He wanted to 'winter' here. 3 years later he is still here. His buddy from across the river in Nebraska came to visit in February a couple years ago and rented my other rental next door. Both have sold everything back there and are happy as clams in the Arizona desert.

What would rentals go for during that Winter period? I've ridden the area extensively and love it out there, especially in the Winter. I'd need at least a one care garage and like to have a 2 car if possible.

The one thing me and the missus agree on is retirement in AZ. My parents are in Tucson. I love riding in that state.
Unfortunately, retirement is way to far off. Barring that lottery win, of course.

Our rentals are 3 bedroom 2 bath with 2 car garages. They rent for $1300 a month with a 6 month lease. $1500 on a month to month. Both have been rented continuously by the same people for 3 years. They found it was cheaper to rent than buy or build and tie up $150,000 on a new house. We also have a 3rd rental in a gated community, on the Colorado River with a boat slip in our private marina. That one we rent for $1700 a month with a 1 year lease. Also been rented for a couple of years. All of our property is either on the Colorado River, or within a few blocks. The farther you get from the water, the lower the rent goes.

Lots of Condo's and trailers available, but usually without garages. Good Luck
