Bought my trike used back in April 2013, its a VTX1300 with a Motor Trike kit. Ever since I bought it its had a noise between 55 and 65 mph. Sounded like marbles in a can being swirled around. I took it to a Motor trike dealer and he timed the drive shaft, no help, took it to a Honda dealer he said not my problem! Back to the MT dealer, has to be the front u-joint, changed that no help. I tried every thing I could think of to kill this dreaded driveline noise , it was driving me NUTS! Finally I called Motor Trike, they said bring it down and we will have our chief mechanic look at it. 1200 miles from Michigan to Troup Texas.

When I got there, they treated me like a KING, worked on my trike all day, took me, my wife, and my little dog on a plant tour, coffee, soda pop, and everyone, and I mean everyone was outstandingly friendly and ever so willing to help. After 8 hours the chief mechanic said take her for a test ride. THE DREADED NOISE WAS GONE!!! They went through the rear end with a fine tooth comb, realigned the ladder bars, and checked all adjustments, and probably some magic stuff I can only guess at. I don't know what fixed it and I don't care. I can't speak highly enough of there support and kindness. If and when I ever get a new trike, guess what kind of kit its gonna have! Thanks Motor Trike! For everything!!

Yes, customer service is very important, glad that they were willing to check it and fix the problem.

It is the absolute best advertising a company can have in this very competitive section of adding trike kits to motorcycles.

I went thru a 2 month with absolute no service from the company I bought my trike kit from 1.5 year s ago.
Such a simple thing to ship me a pictail for rear wire hardness, wrong was incl. in kit.
It layed on customer service managers desk for 1.5 weeks without a stamp to be shipped.
Finally I gave them my credit card #, $.5.40 it got in the mail.
+++++++++, other problems not fixed yet, most likely never will.

Bought a Roadsmith kit a week ago, have not read issued with about them.

Customer service on high $$$ items is a must to survive these days.

That plant in Troup is a BUSY PLACE !!! Some friends and I stopped in this time last year and like you were treated like dignitaries. I have had a few occasions to chat with the tech folks and have always received the same respect and success as if I were standing right there. MotorTrike fits the niche for me. It's not for everyone but there must be a lot of riders wanting that "sporty" ride and handling because there are a lot of MotorTrike conversions on the roads. I strongly urge everyone to take a look at them when considering a conversion. ThumbUp ThumbUp ThumbUp

YEP,.....motor trike is the conversion that I am going with .....was debating on either csc, or, motor trike, and have decided on motor trike...AJ cycles of jasper indiana to do the install for me......

I want to add something while on this subject. I have a CSC trike. I've had it converted 3 years ago. This last August the driveshaft went out. It really exploded. I made a call to CSC and they said to bring it to a dealer and they would take care of it. All parts and labor taken care of through CSC. I think that all of these trike companies will handle all problems as they arise. Hannigan, CSC, Motor Trike have the same attitude about customer service. " Get-er-done.

Ride safe

Hope they steered you to the Tiger Cafe in Troop for lunch. Some really good home cookin' there.

If you have read my posts in the past.
I have nothing but praise for all involved with Motor Trike from their dealers on to the factory folks.
Best customer service I have ever gotten from any company. They stand along side you 101% through everything.

As a fellow rider Im of course sympathetic to your issues with the dealer.
My 1st issue was when I bought the trike both CV joints were shot. As there was at the time no dealer within a 4+ hour drive of my home.
I had a local shop do the repairs. MT sent the parts no problem but they couldn't agree on the labor and time issue to install the parts. I paid out of pocket quite a bit.
As for the dealer you bought the trike from.
Paint being a subjective thing. How long should it be warrantied?? As a new customer whats their responsibility if they did the paint??
As too them just flat out lying to you that no dealer should do. For all its worth again Im on your side in this.
Since buying my trike. MT has a new dealer 140 miles from my house and they were terrific in resolving my drive shaft issue. I couldn't have been happier with the dealerships response for a warranty issue. MT is also in the mid stages of having a dealership about 50 miles from my house soon.
You did what you could by letting us know where not to go given a choice.

it appears that I have been censored

The fact of the matter is that LEOLA MotorTrike in Leola Pa. did a crappy job painting my trike then they did a crappy job and lied to me about fixing it.

MotorTrike in Texas had nothing to do with LEOLA MotroTrike's crappy work, as a matter of fact they (MotorTrike) was most courteous and tried to help but have no control of dealers that lie about their own paint work.
