Well the wife and I did briefly talk about a new 2014 Tri Glide and we even went to the dealer to look at the 14's. Although they are nice I'll be keeping my 2011. I only got 21,000 miles on my 11 with no issues so I'll stay with mine.I'm not much on electronic technology so the new electronics are over my head. I do good operating the radio I have, lol. The Twin Cooling sounds good but I have my 11 where it doesn't run any hotter than any of the 21 other air cooled motorcycles I've owned in my 43 years of riding so I don't have the heat issues some do. I'm very happy with mine. Besides to me it's not a good idea to buy any vehicle the first year for new designs. Seams like there is always a few bugs to work out.

I have a lot invested in mine making it the way I want it and really don't want to start over with a new one. The one thing that I do really like on the 14's is the new air breather so I will be getting one of those for mine in the future. Give it a little time and finding the air breather shouldn't be to hard to do as those buying the new 14 Touring bikes start replacing the stock air breathers with after market ones they will be willing to part with the stock one. Don't get me wrong here. The 14's are very nice with some nice changes but they don't have anything that says I got to have one.

I want to get something newer I went & looked at the 2014s ? I can not see were wrapping a little antifreeze around the exhaust port is going to be a real improvement ? You still will have to replace the exhaust from the heads down, reprogram it & replace the breather $1500.- $2000. once you do this you should be around a WHOPPING 80 HORSE POWER, then you still have to replace the three wheels with some type of wheel thats either chrome or clear coated, unless you have nothing to do but clean the stock raw wheels ? & You still have a straight axle. I can not stand the look of the new tour pack I think itS off a kawasaki Vulcan ??? I have owned HARLEYS for 40 & years I think I'm going to buy A GOLD WING With a ROADSMITH KIT for $40,000. the same money or less than what the TRI GLIDE with upgrades will cost, you can get independent suspension, acuride, matching chrome wheels, 120 horse power, cb,navi, running boards, & not have to spend 3 years helping HARLEY work out all the PROBLEMS Like millions of us have in the past ??? JUST MY OPINION ThumbUp

I agree with all the above, I like the idea of cooling the exhaust valve, but I think there's just a little to high tech on the electronics for me, to much for an old school biker like me, I really like my 2012 TriGlide to much to go and trade it for a 2014, just my 2 cents.

The new school Radio and navi is def. new to me...the dealership was like well we went to school for the new bike but...done forgot ...time will heal and they will figure it out once more are bought with the same systems in the bikes...I did elect not to put on a stage one kit by knocking 1200 off the price of the bike..did add vance & hines from the old bike and does sound good...

I just updated my SERT and see they have the 2014's on the list now.. So those of you buying the 2014's and have the SERT do a update and you can update your ECM if needed.

Was looking at 14s also and talked trade with my 2012 and Victory Jackpot. My local dealer low balled me on Jackpot and didn't seem concerned one little bit about loosing a $34K sale?? Probably for the best. I'll bet next year will be the 110cu in motor possibly but I also think they'll also re-attach the oil cooler. Plus, decent color changes.

Like I said before. I just picked up this 06 Electra Glide with 4,464 miles on it. I want to trike it next yr. Doing this as Cheap as I can. I 'm NOT too sure on the New Trikes. Too much of it I don't like. Like some of you said on here. I'll wait till all the bugs are fixed on the New ones. A friend of mine just got his 2014 ( not a trike Harley) and already has more miles on his Bike then I do on my 2006 . Hey so I'm slow :D. But I'm workin on it still! But I do love that one Red Sun Glo color.

I been waiting for the 2014 Tri Glide to come out since I did not wanted the 2013 due to the Number 13. I know it is only a number. The 2014 Tri Glide new featues did not appeal to me. I also like to wait till they get all the bugs out of new features. A good example was when Harley went from the springload tension shoes to the hydraulic tension shoes on the cam chains. I ended up buy a 2013 Tri Glide and very happy with it. Just my two pennies.

120 Horse power? Man I did not know those stuffed animals weighed so much!

I've talked with a few guys that have gone with the 2014 2 wheel touring bikes and they are saying that the stouter front forks are a real improvement in handling over the 09-13's.

Anyone gone from a 09-13 Tri-Glide to a 14 TG and noticed any difference in handling?

my wife and i stopped and looked at the 2014 TRI GLIDE and were not impressed at all and we will keep our 2007's. the front end of trike looks great and the back end still looks like a big square box with no character. i have not seen a kit out there yet for harley's that does not look a lot better than a original tri glide. maybe when Harley figures out that looks also matters to some people the wife and i will look again. also just my 2 cents

"the back end still looks like a big square box with no character."

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some like the looks and some don't.
Same as two men looking at the same woman. One says she is pretty and the other says she is ugly.

I totally agree with you. Beauty is all in the eyes of the beholder.

I like the stock rear end also. I can't stand the one that looks like a giant pear. I don't know how you'd make it look "un-bland" without sacrificing space. The best utilization of space is a box. Look at the new tour pac. Looks nice, has character, but I doubt you can get more into it compared to the old one. They say you can get 2 full face helmets in it, but I doubt it if it has a lid organizer installed. Maybe they mean 2 baby helmets.
Not for me - - - until they come back out with a great red like the 2012's.
The color choices for the 14"s (TriGlides) are terrible - IMO.
Maybe Harley thinks only old people buy TG's and they like subdued colors.

Not for me either.:gah:

I also was looking to trade my 2012 red/merlot on a new 2014. I just can't see the loss of $ to get a new model in a color combo I don't like as well. Plus, think I'll wait till they get the 14s to stop leaking. Just saw one at dealer yesterday in the cream/brown extra-extra-extra color fee :>), up on lift with a puddle under it.
I'm hoping for the 110 cu in next year with a new oil cooler added.
