I visit my relatives in North Carolina every so often so if I see ya, I'll definitely give a shout! ThumbUp

Hope we run into you, for sure! It would be great to meet you in person :)

oneup,
If you ever get back to the USA, stop by New England and see our truly beautiful country side, from the mountains to the sea shore. We may even go out for fish & chips, sorry haddock only, no cod!
Buy, if I were to see that wonderful Tee, I will make sure to stop and say Hi.
Good luck on your ride to the USA and be safe!

Regards,

Rosy & Janice

Hey Oneup...I see Idaho on the list...Be happy to take you up to Hells Canyon a coupla hours northwest of Boise if it will fit your schedule....Say when!

A little reminder to stay focused to ride on the right side of the Road in the States. With so much outstanding scenery its easy to be distracted. A few years back a Rider from your country was leaving Americade in New York & he must have been thinking of something else as he jumped on the wrong side. Hell of a nice guy. They called him the "Whale" don't know if you knew him. Anyway's have a safe trip & I'm sure alot of people from these boards will be looking for you. Are you planning on shipping your bike or renting one here?

oneup, I'll be looking for you up in Sturgis, I guess you'll be at that rally. Let us know where & approx. dates you will be in the different states so we can keep an eye out for you & your shirt. I've met some great people from Australia almost every time I've been to the Sturgis Rally.

Oneup I like your T Shirt.Did you ever think of selling them to raise a little extra cash for your trip? If you take trent up on his offer to ride Hell's Canyon let us know when you will be there and maybe some of us in the area can join you. I am just soutj of Boise in Central Utah.

ok i havent had a chance to get back online and see all these replies. i will attempt to answer them now and hopefully get through it all soon.

Flatfrog, we will be visiting Murphy to see the Lifetime Kia salesman who sold me the trike. he has been extremely helpfull getting the international sale done and providing information on what i have to do and how to go about it.
we will be staying in robbinsville an the beginning of the dragons tail on the 25th of July. the two nights befoer we ill be in Dalton Georgia.

Rod69 we will be doing a big day going through Illinois as we are doing Memphis to chicago in one day, thats the longest travel day we have. and it only came about as we changed our plans of what we wanted to see in the time we have.
we will be on the Road early in the morning as its a bit over 8 hours travel time and we hope to have a little time to see some of the chicago end of route 66.
we will be doing that on the 27th of july, a saturday

we have purchased a 2012 harley trike with 700 miles on it. we will be shipping the bike out of LA wen our ride is done, by that time it will have 7000 miles or so on it. thanks for the trike tips, i have read all the experienced rider tips and have taken them onboard. dont want to become a casualty of fun.

but we are fully insured for any event.

i have driven a car in the USA before, and have previously purchased a 74 corvette from the USA. at home that means im driving from what is usually the passenger seat. again its a matter of adapting to it. makes overtaking a bit tricky as you cant see whats comming easily.

I also have a 1970 harley chopper, and adapting to the gear shift being right footed is the trickiest thing to adapt to.

yes we will be in sturgis... with bells on lol..
in fact the plan started as lets go to sturgis, and grew from there. we will be staying in Rapid city, arriving before sturgis officially starts so we can do some of the scenic rides before the roads are too crowded we arrive on Friday the 2nd and heading off on tuesday the 6th to Cody.
cool name by the way.. my daily ride is a 1990 fxst. built the same month (august) and year that my daughter was born.

sorry mate we wont be on that side of your state and unfortunately we cant stretch our plans any further, which is a shame as a group ride with trikers would be really cool

the process of doing the artwork on a website took a bit of figuring out, it took me quite a few goes at it to get things to align correctly and centre where i wanted them, my wife was quick to point out that i missed putting Nevada on the shirt... whats done is done lol

You do not want to come to the U.S. without coming to Kentucky. Your never so lucky as when you are in Kentucky. Coming from N.C just get on U.S. 23 heading north and we will be a watching for you with open arms. It is just a matter of heading north or west to see what beautiful country God has made for everyone to enjoy.. Enjoy !!!
