I am going to get a cover for the trike. This will only be used while it is parked in shop and not carried and used on the road.
From experience, any brands NOT to buy.
Thanks,
Dennis Swan

It's not cheap, but I find the quality of the HD cover good. My TG is stored outside and cover does very well.

I got mine last year on salefor $20 bucks at menards. I also have the same brand for my road king. They keep the dust off,& are easy on,& off.

I had a couple of Dowco Guardians that split at the seams and another that scuffed a windshield after the fleecy lining separated. I avoid that brand now...

For a garage only "dust cover" I have used flat bed sheets on several bikes, they are cheap, light, easy to put on, and an occasional run through the washing machine makes them look new.... I suspect a Tri-Glide would need a California King size sheet...or a couple flat sheets sewn together.

I am very happy with my SKNZ Partial cover I reviewed Here... It still fits nice even after installing your TourPak relocation kit...:)

The bed sheet works pretty well. King size, black of course, for the TG.

I use binder clips on the top of the windshield to hold it on. Keeps it from sliding off. Do the same on the antenna.

Dennis...The cover from HD for the TG works fine. I have the outdoor one that I take with me on overnite trips..I just use a big blue quilt in the garage.

Thanks guys.
Now that I look at the "fly" type cover, may be worth taking on road for the rain nights we always seem to get. Then use it and sheets for fender area in garage.
Just the type info I was looking for.

Dennis, I bought a cover on Ebay for about $60 it is an ultra guard, what's nice about this cover is that it packs into a small bag when not in use so if you take it traveling it doesn't take up the whole trunk. Plus the quality is really nice and it looks good.

Any cover you buy has to breathe.I had one that was mostly polyester and when i lifted it up it was all condensation under it.I have one now that is 100 percent cotton. Not anygood for outside but great for indoor storage.

I use the same cover on my GL1800 Hannigan! It has a nice pocket to pack the cover into for storage. Lining is soft not to scratch the paint, taking it off and on.

I've used everything from H-D to Nelson-Rigg. I now have a Nelson Rigg. It fits perfectly - one problem - the back zipper opening doesn't allow the antennas to stick up and out. It looks like the H-D one does allow that. The Nelson-Rigg was a lot cheaper. I only use it at home - too bulky for travel. What I have for travel is the seat cover I got with the Air Zepplin seat. All I do is cover the seat on trips. Never had a problem.
If I know it's going to really storm, I'll ask the desk clerk if I can put it under the entrance canopy.

I have just been informed that my boys are getting me the cover from HD for Christmas. So I will take it and not look a gift horse in the mouth!

I just got the new indoor cover for the trike from HD and found it to be a great one. Soft like a bed sheet but custom formed to fit the trike. Opening for locks and radio annt. Really like mine, doesn"t keep sliding off on the floor.

Picked up the cover today from HD. Spent allot of time pimping the trike out.
Always felt time polishing it was time I would never get back so it has been abused pretty good over the last few years with a wipe down with any ole towel at a motel. Finish was toast. Looking allot better now and I will try and be a little more kind to it.

The cover looks really sharp Dennis. Thought you'd never put one of those on your bike, especially on the road. You've changed your tune in your old age. Wish I could've gotten down to see you. Still playing with the last thing you sent me. Take care & have a Merry Christmas. Jim

Trent.....do you use the Oasis cover for trips? I was looking at the black/orange #93100021, but it said for indoor use only.

Dennis, From the looks of the paint in your pics, me thinks you should have bought that cover sooner and RODE with the cover ON! :AGGHH: :wave4: :D

No No No Jim, This cover is just for here. As I do sandblasting, grinding and such, things tend to get coated in winter.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
Then riding with you this summer and seeing how mine looked compared to yours, well it was time to do a little detail work.<o:p></o:p>
Merry Christmas

It was pretty sad. That picture is after I had stripped off what little wax was on it. I was able to get rid of most small surface scratches and swirl marks. Will keep working at it over winter. And yes, I need to take a little better care of it.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Hey TRENT, bet I picked up 3 MPG and 5 HP with this new slick finish!<o:p></o:p>

Bought the HD one for TG use as garage when traveling, keeps people from bothering with it, if they can't see it they won't touch it. Also use for winter storage in garage keeps down scratches from stupid people.
