I recently installed rotor covers on my 2008 trike. I have not yet wired the enclosed led lights. Any suggestions on an easy way to do this?
Thanks,
Bob

I wired mine using a master cylinder mounted switch box. That way I can turn them off during day light, when you can't tell they're on, thereby saving the lights so they last a much longer time!

Great idea Tom. Think be better to place the switch in the left fairing cubby-hole though for better weather protection and ease of access while riding. But running wiring up the legs and around the Triples could be somewhat difficult and have to be careful in routing as not to cause pinch or rub over time.

Have had mine for 9 years. They are LEDs they will out last the trike. Just a hint. Every year you should remove the covers and clean them. The build up with brake dust and will get so caked up they will be hardly visible. I also added the spoke reflectors ( actually chrome bars)

The master cylinder switch boxes are water resistant(don't know of many things that are truly water proof).
The routing I used was zip ties to the brake hoses up to a point I could route the wiring under the handle bar lower covers to the switch box. All splices were soldered and shrink wrapped.

That's a very good point as I just discovered this year as I saw my reflection in a window as I passed and thought part of mine had burned out:Coffee: Not only brake dust but, if you ride any distance in "wet" weather, they need cleaned after the roads dry!

Sounds like you have it all well covered. ThumbUp

When I wired mine in I put small connectors down by the covers for ease of maintenance. If you have a local hobby shop that does RC get a couple of servo connectors and solder them in. I used dielectric grease on them and then covered them with shrink tubing.
