Wireless backup camera

Due to the size of the Roadhawk and seating postion, I feel I have to rely on mirrors a little too much, and turning around to look doesn't always cut it.

I bought a 3.5" screen, wireless backup camera system on Ebay for about $50or so delivered.

It was super easy to install, and the picture is fabuous. Plus it will give me a very detailed picture of what is behind me and where anyone is when I change lanes.

It was well worth the money.

After using the backup camera, don't be in a big hurry to get a wireless one. I am having problems keeping a picture. They say some "engine" frequencies could alter the picture. I think the alternator is causing picture disruptions. I've adjusted the sender, moved it, boosted the pickup antennae, etc. I think the wired camera is a better setup.

I have used a 4K system for 18 months now. yes I still get a little interference but minimal now since I installed 8.8mm plug leads. Also the wireless system has one advantage.

With the 4K system you can fit a camera to the rear of your trailer and with the press of a button can look behind that too.
