Winter Riding in the Desert

My desktop wall paper is a picture I took in Death Valley this past year. On top of Dante's View. Well, I can't seem to upload pictures any more.

Dirt roads I not big on. All weather gravel I can cope with. There is an extremely gorgeous NWR called Ash Meadows in western NV that people bypass on the way to Death Valley because the roads aren't paved. Finally rode it this past year. Glad I did.

We do have a lot of dirt roads here in the southwest, but there are many more paved roads. Lots of straight roads and lot of curves. Lots of mountain riding. Southwest has a lot to offer. Jim

I ride that road every now and then. Did u stop at the Short Branch and have a drink? Miss Kathy is a great person to BS with, she owns the Short Branch in Crystal. Before I retired I worked out in that area.

And, a lot of what looks like a red dirt road isn't. There is a lot of red crushed rock used in the rural roads in the desert SW
