On my 05 Ultra I had a windshield from fltwindshields.com and really liked it. I see that Long Ride Shields has theirs on sale and wonder if anyone has tried them. I see they have a couple that are recommended for two up as they help with the wind buffeting the passenger (which is my wife's biggest bitch). Any ideas and help appreciated...

Wind buffeting is your wife's biggest bitch?? Hold onto that woman!!

I've had 2 LRs, a 10 inch and a 9 inch. Both work as advertised. The only problem with the 10 was it just came into my line of sight and was annoying. Nine is in the Goldilocks zone.

Well when we are riding anyway...LOL....I am 6 ft 1 inch tall, I don't like looking over the windshield, don't know why just don't seem right to me. I like a tall windshield and was thinking of ordering the 10 in, but with you statement, it might not be as tall as I like. I know for sure it will be the light tint, as that helps with headlight glare at night, I wear transititions lens in my glasses so don't need dark tint. Thanks for the info and I guess after 45 years of marriage I will keep her, cause I don't know if I could find another to put up with me...

You won't go wrong with the LRS shields ! They are great people to deal with also !
Take a look at their custom windshields also. They do a great job !

I've used many LRS shields. Very happy with them. You might want to look at their "flattop" to reduce buffeting, and be tall enough for you to look thru.

Also, a tank lift can help with reduction of buffeting...it reduces the amount of air coming over the top of the tank.

I know I'm side-tracking, but that is the next thing I plan to buy for my TG...a tank lift with the deluxe option.

I use 9" flat top LRS

My Bride says I am not allowed to change our 9" Flattop LRS windshield I must admit I don't want to either. ride safe fearlessDSC00124.JPGDSC00144.JPGDSC00125.JPG

I really like my LRS. I have not tried the flat top that is supposed to reduce buffeting; mine is just a regular 9" light tint. I am 5'9" tall and I look over my 9", I don't think a 10" will be tall enough for you to look through.

I personally like the curve flat top shield. Best money you will ever spend. The curve redirects the air over your head and helps for the passenger too.
