For those in the know, what is the difference between putting the plastic wind deflectors that mount with double sided tape and having a side curtain made? There seems to be a lot of wind coming in for the back seat passenger without anything on the sides. I figure the side curtains would offer the best protection, but will the wind deflectors suffice to keep the wind and rain out? Would having both be better? Does someone know where you can get the curtains?

While I share your pain here, same senario on my Wing/Hannigan, while greatly reduced via the use of Baker products, these are open vehicles and therefore subject to wind buffeting of various proportions. Depends on wind direction and speed!
For your Stallion, I would think side curtains would offer much better rain protection as the amount of protection from deflectors depends mostly on the speed of the vehicle!

I have the Baker wings which help a lot, but I made some side panels which work great. I remove the side panels during the summer. Then I adjust the Baker wings to direct more air into the cockpit. The panels really do a great job of deflecting wind and rain. Side curtains would do the same. The company that sells the upholstery Doc has, use to sell side curtains cheaper than anybody else. Forgot the name, check with him.

Stallion is basically a 3 wheel convertible car, so what wind & rain issues could you have unless you're sitting at a stoplight in a torrential downpour?

I totally agree, if you're wanting to get out of the weather issues . . . a motorcycle is not going to work.

Over the years, I have posted info on the plastic wind deflector and curtains on the Stallion site. The plastic deflectors will cut out about 80-90% of the passenger wind and rain. I have the curtains in my trunk and have not put them on since I installed the wind deflectors.
Some have used the Baker style deflectors which allow you to divert air into the Stallion but, at the same time it will divert bugs in !! To each their own but I recommend the plastic wind deflector from Amadynecorp.com.

Thanks for the lead. Been looking for that!

Thanks for the suggestions. No I'm not trying to get all the wind and rain out. I've owned 2 wheelers for 48 years so I know what it's like to ride in the elements. I'm just trying to make it a little more comfortable for my co-rider. The only reason I have my Goldwing for sale is because I tore a ligament off on my right hand and can no longer twist a throttle for any length of time. I saw a Stallion in the Ford booth at the SEMA show in 2007 and have always liked them and figured this was the way to go if I still wanted to ride in the elements with my friends. It seems like the deflectors are the way to go for me.

For anyone that knows someone that wants a beautiful Goldwing, here's a link to my Craigslist add:

Thx
