I know I do. Some random members both new and old will be getting a message from me asking for your address. If you're one of them, you might want to give it, because you'll have a package on the way. I say it will be random, but not completely random. Those that have the highest weekly post count and/or are the most helpful in answering other's technical questions and/or are generally most entertaining and friendly will be getting a package. Another likely candidate will be the person(s) who starts and maintains a great thread for an extended time. All of these things help make this a better, more fun and interesting community for all of us and I appreciate those who contribute to that end.

The fun part is that it will be random stuff, from T Shirts to sponsor's products, maybe even a few gag gifts for fun. (thanks for the idea Fuzzy)

Hey Randy, I am just wondering...do you think that, at the rallies this year, we might see if we could find a trike safety instructor to teach a class for a reduced fee? I wonder if anyone would be interested? Just a thought...carry on!

Scott, I've been thinking about that very thing for a long while now and I'd like for us to make that happen. If any of you have any suggestions on the subject or know someone who could help us facilitate a trike safety course, please shoot me a PM. Or we can start a new thread to discuss and implement this idea. (I'd like to keep this thread on topic)

Thanks for the suggestion Scott. ThumbUp

I haven't had much luck with free stuff. I once was notified I had won a fishing reel on another forum. I was excited about that. Then I was notified it was a computer glitch and someone else had won.:(

Hey, sounds like fun! I really hesitate answering this thread because as you can see by following me around here, when I respond to a thread (any thread) it shortly thereafter dies. I am the "thread killer"

I know I'm new here but I really like this place. MUCH better than any of the other sites or Facebook. :Coffee:
Glad you enjoy the community HarleyPap. There's a lot of good information here, but like many forums, a lot more readers than posters. Thats why I send out these letters to try and get more members to share themselves with the rest of us. Its a statistical fact that older folks (most all of us here) are much less prolific posters than are younger folks. The younger crowd grew up on the internet and have texted and posted on message boards all their lives. Us older guys, not so much.

It may seem that way to you, but it's not your fault TwoBye. Most threads die because the OP starts a thread and then doesn't follow up on it, so after a few posts it dies. It's like starting a conversation then walking away after the first sentence. We are all guilty of it, I am guilty of it, so I will be working on that. Rosy and I were talking about this a while back. He wanted to start a "What did you do to your trike today?" thread and I told him I thought that was a great thread to start, one that everyone would enjoy, but I asked him to try and make sure he "moderated" the thread by personally responding to the posts on a regular basis. I told him if he did so on an ongoing basis, the thread would take wings and go forever. He did and it has, it's one of the best threads on the forum.

Thanks Zook. Yea I know what your saying, same things happen in other forums I belong. I always try to answer everyone in my threads but nobody's perfect, or at least that's my story and sticking to it.

Hmmmmmm.....glad I ordered extra T Shirts this last time. :clapping:

One of the things I have liked about this site is that it doesn't depend on a handful of people to post and keep things going. There are so many different people and posts here that it keeps things really interesting. So thanks for the further efforts Zook.

Hey, Zook, I just realized something. I never answered your original question. "Who likes Free Stuff?" Well, ghuess what, I DO!!

There is no price to pay for all the valuable information here. Everyone here is already a winner. There is no doubt this is the best trike forum available today. Information on every bike/trike conversion there is. And it is all totally free. Don't feel bad if you don't "win" something here. You have already won.
