Whining sound on 2003 GL1800 CSC Trike

It starts after it heats up a little and is intermittent. I was told it's a Honda thing. Can anyone relate to this noise???

A "whining" sound can be subjective. I know mine do have kind of a whining sound when accelerating but it's hard to describe it accurately. Any chance you may be able to record and post this sound here? If not, maybe you can find another GL1800 owner near you that can listen to the sound and maybe help diagnose it? I would rather have a whining sound than a grinding or clunking sound.

Is the sound coming from the motor area, as some alternators produce a whine.
