Found this part in my 2012 Tri Glide’s trunk when I bought it last month. It wasn’t attached to anything. There’s no HD part number. Any idea what it is?

I agree that it looks like a cover that goes over a battery terminal.
The prongs slide over the square terminal to keep the terminal clean.

It’s bugging the crap out of me. I know I’ve seen this before. As I’m thinking about it, there is a spring that goes over the center pin and the smaller end piece hits either a micro switch or a release lever. Guessing now it’s a push button release for something like a glove box.

It is not a battery terminal cover.

You can clearly see two of the sides have snaps that retain it into something, like maybe a trailer hitch receiver cover, but really hard to say without knowing the size of the mystery gizmo.

Just for fun, correct guess gets a Cut N Shoot Customs T-Shirt and a Die-Cut Trike Talk decal.

It is a clip on/from a battery charger ..[Schumacher]....Its used for for storing/rapping the electric cord on the back of the charger there should be two of them.....I have its twin right here in my hand as i type...

It looks like the piece that snaps in the back of my battery charger (1 on each side) to wind the leads around.

I had just come to the same conclusion after looking at my Schumacher battery charger at my shop, but since I got busy with my grandson and left the thread open, I'm going to send both Marc & Bob (rhino 2) their prizes for the correct guess. Thank you all for participating, this was fun!
