What to Use on Clear Coat Rims?

When I had my '03 Goldwing with non-clear coat rims, I washed with soap and water and polished a couple times a year with Mother's aluminum polish.

Now here's were the confusion sets in:

Now I have a '12 Goldwing Roadsmith trike with clear coat rims, and feel there should be no hash adhesive waxes used anywhere on the rims to protect the clear coat.

I have ask around about this, and even talk to venders at the Wing Ding last summer in Madison Wi., and they all looked at me with the "deer-in-the-headlight" look.

What's a boy to do/use??

Heres what I would use. Years ago I had a Suzuki Intruder with clear coated rims and this is what I used. Its non abrasive, totally synthetic ,and helps make the rims easy to clean. I still use it on my trike today.

Yep, Rejex is what I use all over / bugs don't stick / water wipe off / apply it about twice a year / its amazing on my F4+4 and fine to use.... was developed for aircraft / same company also makes some other products and I haven't found a bad one yet....

I used Rejex on the SUV windshield and we ran into some downpours / and I never used the wipers, it runs off that quick..... AAA+++ gets my vote!!!

I agree,
Soooo I'm thinking, (while we're the subject), on cages with clear coat, why does anyone bother to wax them????

:xzqxz:,,, joking right?

Some Rims are now PVD sealed (look it up) as posed to Clear Coat.
A far superior Process and sealant finish.
As someone else said earlier, treat Clear Coat as you would Paint. Use same mild soap and Solutions to clean and protect.
