Christmas shopping vacation. We come here to the vacation house about this time every year. Rather spend the sales taxes in Arizona and Nevada. Unlike California, they speak English here.

That is my home state. Born in McNary Az. Up in the White Mountains. Not much left of that town. We had to give everything back to the Apache Indians, so everyone either took down their house & put it back together off the reservation, or burnt it to the ground when they left ! :Trike1:

I'm with Piggi on this one. I hear so much spanish being spoken around Tucson area that I feel like I am back home in NYC.pepper:AGGHH:

We may not have the great temps of Arizona, but I am quite lucky to live at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Mo. One of the biggest lakes out my front door. English spoken here...period

Not a big difference between Spanish spoken in PR or Mexico. Spain is a little different, but not enough to mess someone up who speaks it. Of course, 2 years of high school Spanish 30-35 years ago don't cut it anyhow.
Also, as an aside. Had nice triking in March in PR and various other islands. My own trike riding off cruise ship.

Beautiful area. We spent alot of time in Table Rock Lake/Branson area growing up. +1 on the English only. ThumbUp

I'm with you buddy. I tow out there almost every year in March and LOVE the area. And you are so right about California. I'm not sure why folks stay.

Just back in Arizona from a 'side trip' to Las Vegas. Got an E-mail from one of the hotels we frequent, $25 a night for "good customers". Just couldn't pass on the deal. Our Arizona house is only 88 miles from Las Vegas.

Someone asked, our vacation house is on the Colorado River in Bullhead City, Az. Directly across the river from Laughlin Nevada, and 18 miles from Needles California. More casinos than churches. We would have left California years ago, EXCEPT our children and grand children live about 10 minutes from our home there, so the Retirement house will be a Vacation house for a year or two or three...
