I live in the country in central KY and am proud to be a good old KY hillbilly. I can get to Louisville, Lexington, or Bowling Green in less than an hour but I don't have to be bothered with city life. Here in KY we have some of the prettiest country side you will ever find. The roads are great for riding, I can be in the mountains in an afternoon ride. I can leave here and head west for some flat land riding (boring) I am about half way between Indiana and Tennessee about 15 miles off Interstate 65.

As I look out my front door there is about 300 acres of rolling crop land. We have a good dose of all four seasons (sometimes the same day). I look out each morning to see if I need the trike, boat or tractor with snow blade. I feel so blessed because the Good Lord put me here in this small town and I have lived 67 years except when Uncle Sam called. If you haven't figured it out I LOVE KENTUCKY. And NO I don't like horses.

I got nothing good to say about my State N.J..... So please wherever your from don't move here...Too many people here already..:gah: Stay out the people here wear Tin hats... So if you happen to be on the Jersey Turnpike and headed north don't stop till you get to NY... If your going south don't stop till you get to Pa.. And if you do stop to ask for directions we wont's tell you anything nothing nada!.....Especially the secret to the proper way' To Negotiate a Jug Handle. To get around the Jersey wall .......

The fishing, hunting, not allot of traffic, cost of living, affordable housing, wide open spaces........ that's a start.

Florida....Year around riding and no state income taxes. South Fla can have boring roads, but central or north Fla is like a different state with rolling hills and curves. There is no place in Florida that is more than 60 miles from the Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico.

Arkansas - The Natural State

Naturally, we have a bit of everything and some of the best motorcycle roads anywhere. And usually with less traffic than most places. Hunt, Fish, Ride, Boat, and lots more. Great place to live; at least the northern half. :)

A lot less than what I don't like. One like is being near the center of the States for threedom adventures, N-E-W-S.smiley-with-us-flag.gif

Pennsylvania...

Lots of mountain/woodland and farmland in rolling hills to ride through. Plenty of places to hunt and fish... country boy through and through. And don't pay any state or local tax on my retirement monies.

At least it's not New Jersey... :kpzxvq: Freakin' jug handles!!!
As far as Long Island...love the beaches, and kayaking in rivers and bays. Too damn crowded though. One of these days, I'll escape out to Tucson.

If your heading north don't -- DON'T stop in NY -- we've got an a-- hole for a gov., he taxes the taxes and wants to take away all our guns. Go to Vermont or Pa, go way out of your way to miss NY. Here's to you Gov. :kpzxvq::kpzxvq::kpzxvq::kpzxvq::kpzxvq::kpzxvq:

North Georgia, great place to live. Within an hour or so you can ride into the mountains of Alabama, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. No Toll roads. ThumbUp

Mississippi-

Low cost of living
Lots of good riding roads
We like the weather
Not many people
Low level of gubmint interference into individual rights

We moved here from Cali 25 years ago. Moved to Maui 16 years ago for 3 years.
When we decided to move back to the mainland, we looked at a bunch of states, realized Mississippi is still the most free state. Have not regretted moving back for a minute.

The Voices. Not needing to care about what others do or say. The fact that I can do miracles, and my Dad rules the universe. Knowing I can keep doing the same thing and get a different result. I wonder why other people don't answer when they talk to themselves. Being confident in the fact that Hillary will be history's greatest President. Being confident in the fact that Donald Trump will be history's greatest President. Being confident in the fact Fluffy the Cat will be history's greatest President. It is great living it the state of Insanity.

Jug Handles ...... Jersey's way of screwing with out of stater's ....At least the gas is cheep... And Ha'beve 'Once he gets off the cell phone will pump it for you no extra charge.......ThumbUp

It's 10% sales tax rate, the rough roads, the crooked lying local & state politicians, poisonous snakes, mosquitoes that can stand flat-footed and kiss a turkey, hurricanes and I could probably name a few more.
Oh yeah, great Cajun food and music!!! Boiled craw-fish and great fishin'.
And I can ride my trike pretty much year round dodging potholes.

I could tell you all the good things about North Dakota but then you'd want to move here and we got enough people already...
Great natural history museum in Bismark and Theodore Roosevelt National park (The ND Badlands). 2 great things about ND. I'm hoping some NYers will now move out there, giving me some room.

...And we can kiss our cousins and nobody thinks a thing about it.

Maryland, Great riding from coastal beaches to rolling hills to western mountains. Totally beautiful state run by some of the most liberal IDIOTS in the country. Tax season is like Christmas to most of the political hacks. Don't consider moving here, especially if you enjoy your guns!

Its Texas... whats not to like?

:Agree::Agree::Agree:

YUP -- What Zook Said!!!! :xszpv::xszpv:

I am a prime example of the saying.... "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as quick as I could" :D :D With the exception of a couple years I have been a "TEXAN" since I was 19 years old.

You have to love four seasons.....
From where I live: an hour to the mountains..twenty minutes to the beaches...
No sales tax..No income tax..medium property tax..high to some states...
No helmet laws..Some gun laws..hunting..fishing..
Fishing from deep sea to brookies..
Whale watching at its best...nightly sea cruises and back..
Toll roads, because Old Man Winter takes a toll on the roads...unless you like pot holes...
Very cheap liquor...
Very old cities, Dover established in 1623....Lots of history in our state..
A very pretty state with activities for All Four seasons..

HHmmm..Ca. great riding weather lots of money to be made, people politics not so much. After 23 years as a long haul driver been to every State mentioned here. Must say I have wanted to move to most of your State's. The south has some of the friendliest people I ever meet. And I thought you could marry your cousin not just kiss them.;)

Eastern Tennessee---I'm 25 minutes from the Smokies...40 minutes from The Dragon. Blue ridge Parkway is just up the mountain and down the road. Nashville a bit over 2 hours away. Can shoot up to eastern Kentucky and down to Northern Georgia and back each all in a day's ride. University of Tennessee and Knoxville is in my back yard. Hiking, biking, and boating... it really doesn't get any better.

I spend my time primarily in three states, Confusion, Insanity, and Euphoria. Fortunately, they're all contained in Illinois.;)

I left Illinois 25 years ago and have never wanted to go back. don't miss the big snows and sub-zero temps. we wont even get into the government there.

Yep, you've given three of my dislikes. Landed here in 69 after the military, met my wife, who was born in Springfield, and she has roots like a mighty oak. Wanted to go south when I retired, but couldn't find a big enough stump grinder to get her out of the ground. She has too many family members and friends locally that she can run to when I piss her off. :D
