What a Difference a Mod Makes

Three recent mods that have made a dynamic difference in the driveability of my new 'wing F6B trike:

1. Super Brace

2. Shell Rotella T6

3. New rear tires.I installed Michelin Defender tires, replacing the stock Fuzion, one of which was "out around." I also changed sizes; from 225/60-15 to 205/65-15 which I think is a more appropriate size for a trike. The Michelins are super smooth and quiet with good hydroplaning properties. As an added bonus, one I did not expect, no more slow speed start out head-shake. The Superbrace helped a great deal with this but the new tires practically eliminated it. It is like a different trike. Hard to figure how different rear tries could decrease head-shake; but it surely did.

After switching to Shell Rotella T-6 the transmission shifts much smoother and is noticeably quieter. I was about to give up on liking this trike after 2,500k; now I am impressed and enjoy riding it much more. Next step will be a Bridgestone BT-45 for the front.

It sounds like you are doing all of the right things!

The OEM front tire was bald at 11000 miles and I replaced it with a BT45 - it handled like a different bike - a big improvement. I've now put 16000 miles on the BT45 and still have plenty of tread left!

When you change over to that new BT up front wear 2 pairs of underwear on that 1st test ride. If you get my drift. If the rear tires changed you mind about the trike the front will. Well just wear 2 pairs of undies. < :Joker3:

What I have learned about front end shake as you put it is most of the time it comes from the rear not the front. There are exceptions to this. Normal tire wear, bad wheel bearings, Front wheel not seated properly.
Glad you got it so you like it.
