Was doing some maintenance on the pool and good cleaning, was in the pool with the pool vacuum and got out to get some tools to work on the filter. So off i go to the garage, well when wet bare feet him an epoxy painted concrete floor you may as well be on ice.The feet go straight out behind me so i put my arms out to break my fall(almost went head first into the primary of my Low Rider) and BAM landed on the left lower side of my rib cage.

All i could do was lay there for a few minutes and moan,so i gathered myself up,not an easy task by the way with messed up knees.Went back out and sat down on the deck, the wife is OMG we need to take you to the hospital, for what so the ER can say yep you have cracked some ribs. Then wrap me up and bill me a $100 copay,i wasnt feeling to bad so i finished up and had the wife wrapped my rib cage. Now about 3 hours later it hurts but not having trouble breathing so the lungs are fine,so the yard work is off for a few days.Getting old STINKS LOL.

Sorry to hear that Steve. Glad you sound better than it might have been.. :clapping:

I relate to your luck. A while back I was trimming out a limb the wind had partly broken out of a pecan tree. When the limb came free it knocked the step ladder right out from under me. Fortunately the electric pole saw went the other way and I didn't break any bones. I just laid there and moaned for several minutes while I assessed my limbs. Messed up my right shoulder but it healed in time. I'm more careful with ladder placement these days... :D:D

Hope you mend quickly!

Well Steve, Getting old isn't too bad ......That is if you do it right, Its Getting Hurt when your getting old that stinks...Hope you heal ok, And try not to laugh that will only make the ribs hurt more, And Ditto with sneezing....:D

Bummer Steve. Take care. The grass and weeds will be there when you feel like it.

Yikes, take it easy, rest up and heal.

When I lived in Florida I painted the garage floor with polyurethane paint and went sliding across that one day, landed on my fanny. I was carrying plastic food storage bowls out there to put on the shelf and they went everywhere. I had socks on my feet and it was like skating.

Well, I tripped over my Dog walking bare footed and spilled my beer from the red cup on my epoxy painted garage floor, And hit my head on my ex wife's Girl friends Pick-up truck... .....

Better:Shrug:.....

Had it been your ex-wife's sister's pick up truck you could have won some type of cheesy award presented by Robert De Niro.;)
