Weight distribution with and without reverse motor

I'm considering a mechanical reverse on my 2016 freewheeler . Wondering if anyone has done this . If you remove the reverse motor does it change the way it will ride with the reverse motor removed . Right now bike weight centered behind derby cover . With reverse motor removed , in theory , it will change the weight of back of bike . Long question short , if I remove reverse motor how will that affect the way the bike rides and corners ??

With the "starter" motor removed, personally I don't think you would feel or notice any difference in the wgt distribution or handling based on past experience of different small weights in the trunk.

Being there's no counterbalance weights on the right rear, should handle like a f1 racer šŸ”ƒ

Don't know about the Freewheeler... But there isn't any difference with or without the Reverse motor ' With my Tri-Glide...

And, this is what I would speculate for the Freewheeler as well.....

I want to remove my electric reverse, but mainly because I see it as an inefficient system and thus replacing it with a mechanical reverse would be a better choice. HDs electric reverse has a less than stellar track record in my view and service is costly. Replacing it with a mechanical reverse is just a better choice in my opinion.

Now, I also have to say that it would be a weight savings as well and I feel that is always a good thing....
And, this change would have a somewhat positive impact on the electrical load - minor probably - but some....

my views,
