Warm howdy from arizona.

I'm 66 years old and a life long motorcycle rider including over 10 years on a GL1500 qualifying for the GWRRA Master Tour Rider. Last Friday was my first ride /owner on a 2003 GL1800 Trike with a Champion Trike kit. Long day at the bike dealer, left at rush hour in Phoenix, bumper to bumper traffic. My first ride at 70-75 was very interestingood and a little unsettling. The steering seemed very sensitive and "darty". By the time I got to Wickenburg, things seemed to be settling a bit. Left Phoenix withe a half tank and my fuel light came on before Congress. Needless to say, things on the trike were truly quite different from our 2 wheel GL1500. DECIDecided to aggressively merge with traffic in first to second gear, the front wheel came off the ground about a foot. Something the GL1500 would never do. I am here to learn . . . . . .
