Hey all, is it normal for my front tire to wear on one side of the tire than the other side? My front right side shows no thread but the left side is still good. Is that normal for a trike? What brand of tire would y'all recommend, I've only been riding for two years n don't know what's better.

I've heard of this happening alot before. It seems that the common thought is that it is caused by the crown of the road...or even that a person turns one way more than the other (which I think is a load of bunk).
The only thing I can say is that- if your tire is cupped out, and didn't last very long, (2-3000miles), than your tire pressure is too low. (also check to make sure back tire pressures are the same). Worn on one side, (my opinion), or alot of wobble, then the steering head bearings are either loose or worn out, (incidentally, a common problem with VTX 1300s... replace ball bearings with tapered roller bearings)
I suggest really checking out your trike wheel and suspension alignment as well... especially if you didn't get the miles that you expected with this tire.
As far as replacement tires...the common thought here is to find a back tire (commonly for a sport bike) that will fit your rim (if you can find one). Personally, I like Avon tyres, but others say bias ply are better than radials. Do your research and decide for yourself.....good luck.
