I have a vibration under power, I can't understand why. When I put pull the clutch in it stops. Can someone help and also my trunks luck on there own sometimes, I changed the battery in the remote but it didn't help. Thanks, Howard

Easy first... If you're using the keyfob to unlock your trunk, it's supposed to "auto lock" again unless you use the key to unlock it. I've noticed not all of them do it, but most do. Now, the vibration, does it start and go away as a specific RPM range, or most noticeable at a specific speed range? You mentioned it happens in any gear, so I would assume it's more RPM related than speed related. Next time, when the vibration starts, do an upshift, or downshift, does it stop, or get worse?

It's a 2003 1800 trike, with 61000 on it. I feel it in the handle bars and foot pegs. I just checked the drive shaft and U-joint and they seem OK. It is in all gears, not bad but bugs me.

The section in red is actually very important in helping find the problem... Many times, by simply asking and getting answers to the right questions, you can determine a great majority of the sources of several issues on a motorcyle.

Is it the same as mine? I get this very high frequency vibration at 2000 rpms regardless of what gear. It's especially noticable in 4th and 5th. This showed up after triking. Out of gear or with the clutch pulled in it's smooth. I'm talking 2010 Gl1800 with Champion S/A. No one seems to know what it is so I have just got used to using a lower gear to keep away from 2000 rpm.

That means I can't use 5th until over 50 mph. I can use it though under 40 mph.

It may be you are lugging the engine. After triking, I and others have found that a minimum of 2500 rpm is needed with the extra weight to keep the engine happy.

In our group, 2500 rpm is the minimum we run.

That's also the "sweet spot" in the RPM range for a GL1800 when it creates the most "vibration". I agree, the trike seems to "enhance" this; but 2 wheelers have it also, but it's barely noticeable on them. Why? Not really sure; maybe as a 2 wheeler we pay more attention to our surroundings and what's going on everywhere else to really notice? From approx 1800-2100 RPM's the GL motor has an increase in vibration, EVERY motor manufactured has a "sweet spot" where all the stars line up, and cause this, it's unavoidable. Things like overdue engine maintenance can also increase it as it causes the engine to run less efficiently, and thus, increasing any "bad spots" in idle, vibration, acceleration.. Well, you get the idea!

Howard, I know nothing about Hondas, but I'm throwing this out there. The Honda is shaft drive, right? Does it have u-joints or anything like a u-joint, if so you might check in that area? It may have a bearing just starting to go bad.
I know NOTHING about trunk locks, so I won't even guess.:)

I think just to ease my mind I would pull all the spark plugs, check them over good, maybe you have a bad one. Then do a dry and wet compression test, writing down my findings. This will tell you the condition of each cylinder as far as rings and valves. If that all checks out then get used to the funny feeling and run it at an rpm that it's not so noticeable. It could be a "u"joint just starting to go bad and will become more obvious as it wears more. If it's a greaseable "u"joint usually one side goes dry so it wears out the tee. Just check it once in awhile and it will show up sooner or later.

I found it, I put new pads on the front and the left was hanging up. I took it apart and greased the pin and it is OK.
Thanks

Check the drive shaft and make sure front yoke and rear u-joint are lined up the same. If the front yoke can be removed from the shaft it may not be lined up.

I have a feeling you probably need a new set of spark plugs, but the only way to tell for sure is to pull them out and check them closely. It's quite possible to have a bad plug wire also, which would do the same.
