v8 trike steering bearing

Hi, could anybody please give me some advice, i am new to trike building and am half way though rebuilding a rover v8 trike. What is the best type of bearing for the handle bar to fixed to on a push & pull steering system

If i still Worked for Torrington, Co. ( Timken) I would have found out and sent you some free ones . Sorry retired 4 years ago when they left town
 
What is the best type of bearing

A tappered roller bearing... typically called a "timpken taper". You'll likely need two. Measure the diameter of the down shaft of the triple tree... this will be the inside dimension of the inner race on the new bearings. Then measure the inside diameter of the down tube of the frame... this will be the dimension of the outer race on the bearings. Go to your bearing supplier and give him these dimension... he may or may not be able to supply them, if they in fact manufacture bearings with those dimensions. If not, you'll have to do something to change these dimensions to something they do make. Hope this helps. Chumbly-;)
