when using the search tool, is there any way, any filters or any options that can be used to cut down on results that don't match what we are looking for. As an example, if searching for - Leading Link - you will get almost every use of the word -leading- and every use of the word -link- and on some searches one of the words can be VERY common, giving hundreds of meaningless results.

Go to Forums Home Page,
Click on Advanced Search on the Tool Bar on the Right Side,
Enter your exact search phrase inside quotes like this "leading link",
Then select Search Titles Only,
Then click Search Now.

This will display every thread with the phrase "leading link" in its title.
The secrete is using the quotation marks.

I tried that, " ", but I must have done something wrong because it didn't seem to lower the results, I will try it that way again. THANKS

PS, will the " " help even if I don't select Search Titles Only, sometimes the item is not always in the title?

You can also go to Google advanced search put in either key words or phrases (exactly what youre looking for) and then put in the web sites address. Sometimes this will weed out all of the ones youre not looking for also.

I do as Zook suggested, but use asterisks * instead of quotation marks " around the search words. *leading link* Check posts and hit search.

It's worked well for me.
