The Harley dealer repaired the short in the headlight and turn singles and as I said before was warned against ridding in the rain and washing the trike.

Well he went for a ride and it rained. Now his intercom has stopped working and his engine lights work off and on. This are harley lights added by the dealer to highlight the engine.

Note: All the items that are failing are harley parts installed by the factory or by the dealer. Further, the trike was loaded with Harley Crome and Harley lights. Now the dealer is taking off some of the added lights and refunding the money.

Fix it, pick a sunny day and unload that Turkey on some guy that just "has to have a Harley". Buy something more dependable. There are several brands that would serve that purpose.

So if some guy takes his Honda to a Honda dealer and they screw up the installation of the lights, does that mean the Honda brand is no longer dependable? :xzqxz:

smiles-B_S_flag.gifgotta raise the flag on that one old son!

If you are going to do the repairs yourself & not under warranty......
First check all the cables for ground quality & the hot side for good voltage. Then at EVERY point use dialectic grease then put the connection back together. Put it in all the holes, not just on the seal on the plug.
Check for any wear on the cables. If someone has used the wire tap style connectors,,,,severely beat someone about the head & shoulders !!
I know of one bike here that had to have the complete wiring harness replaced. SPENDY !
If you have warranty, let it live at the shop until repaired correctly !! Then find a rain storm to check their work !
That's total B.S. !!!

It's been my experience that when you have intermittent functioning of electrical things, it's usually a loose ground or a wire grounding out. And if it's just one particular item, it's usually just that part. Have wasted a lot of time and a few dollars getting that gem of knowledge :AGGHH:

They are all machines . They are going to break no question about it. Ride it till it breaks, fix it.... ride it till it breaks, fix it.... ride it till it breaks, fix it ....... Just depends on which brand you want to do that with.

Don't worry about an answer, perhaps he has come to realize that posts like his are good for nothing except blowing up his already over inflated ego?
Some folks are so busy stroking themselves they cannot understand the purpose of the forum is to trade info. with others instead of self serving insults on any brand other than what they themselves ride and im sure they believe theirs is the best of that brand motorcycle.

Looking over the authors posting activities it would seem he makes a real habit of it!
