Anyone using an Ultracool oil cooling unit? I'm running a bit richer than stock through a XiED (will be installing tomorrow) and I have Cool Masters, but wondering if that's enough heat abatement down here in Texas. Any thoughts, opinions are appreciated. I sure like the idea of keeping the oil as cool as possible.

So I checked out the main forum on this product. It gets good reviews and I think I will add it to my heat abatement along with a different air cleaner and backer plate. If you haven't read Kevin's of DL Customs post on keeping the twin cam cool you should. Decide if any you want to do. I'm headed for Appomattox VA this weekend. 1st big ride on FW, wish me fortune. Everybody ride safe.

I have looked at this oil cooler also. Make sure you get the 2.0 version that has better waterproof fans and the plug and play connections. My dealer is putting this on a bike so I will be looking at how it works. I also like it uses fitted connections versus using hose clamps.

Hey Ron,

Hope you have a great & enjoyable ride this weekend.

We've tested the UltraCool and the newer versions are much better than their first few tries. They will cool your oil. We've found that the Fan-Assisted Jagg still cools better. You can see it at this LINK. It may be a few dollars to 30.00 less expensive to go with the Ultracool, depending on where you get it.

Thanks for the mention of the REPORT Link.

Thanks Kevin. I'll check into the Jagg. Your contribution to this site is great and very much appreciated. I've learned a lot from your data based information. It beats my "seat of the pants" analysis. New to Harleys so reading all I can.

Agree with DK, since they dynoed my M8 the highest head temp I have seen is 311 for a couple of minutes, the intake temp is usually about one half of that at all times Just my riding style I rekon
