i'm maybe going to put a ultimate seat on my csc trike and was wondering how many use the ultimate seat and back rest on there bikes and how they like it. and is the back rest like the stock back rest or dose it set the passenger up straighter up.

Had the Ultimate on the Goldwing and definitely could tell the difference between it and the stock seat. It was much more comfortable for both myself and the wife.

I have a stock seat with the beads and a Utopia backrest on the two wheeler and an Ultimate Mid Rider with Mustang backrest on the trike. The Ultimate seat is hands down more comfortable for me and my wife and in the cold weather it's much hotter than the stock seat as well. If I had to take the two wheeler on a long trip I would actually swap seats, that's how much of a difference there is.

Cant make myself buy the Ultimate for the Wing just yet. A tad out of my budget these days.
But I do have it on my RoadStar. It does sit me straight up good for my back for sure. Its by far the best most comfortable investment in any extra for any bike Ive owned.
Well worth the price. Just have to make myself do it someday. If like me an hour is the max one can put up with the OEM seat.
Since I don't use the trike for long distance rides. Only for commuting to work. I have a pad made of the same medical foam used in the Ultimate. It has done the trick..........so far for me.

I installed the mid rider last year and may be the odd man out as I am not that fond of it, it is well made and does sit the wife more upright but tend to get bun numb after a couple of hour riding. I was torn between the Ultimate and Russell day long and wish I had went the other way. I am not bashing the ultimate, it is a fine seat just not for me.

Ultimate Seat

Same here ...girlfriend likes it better than stock but me not so much. Butt burn after abt 70 miles. Seems like the passenger part is firmer but not driver. Maybe just me cause I have no butt. Still trying different pads and stuff. I talked to ultimate at Wing Dings and was told if I don't like it sell it.....Virg49

Me also. I didn't want to spend big bucks and take a chance getting something that wasn't right. I have no butt either. I tried all kinds of after-market pads. Nothing worked for me. So I thought I would do a little low cost experimenting. I saw a memory foam bath mat at Sam's club for $9. Cut it to fit my butt, had it edged for cheap. Sewed straps into the bottom, and mounted clamps on the underside of the seat so that if it didn't work, no harm-no foul. Went on a thousand mile trip. Eureka, it worked for me. Everyone's ride is different, but for me, it saved a few hundred $$$.
