TTS Calibration File Recommendation

Hi All,

Hoping I can get some help? Have a 2009 Tri-Glide, Stage 1 AC, V&H Slash Cut Slip-ons and recently had Kuryakyn Tru-Duals (I understand the same as V&H Dresser Dual) installed. All else is stock. The map someone uploaded causes allot of back fire and appears lower compression?

Can anyone advise either from the Kuryakan website or Mastertune website or any other site, which may be the best file to try and upload?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

If I read this correct you NOW have True duals on the bike. If that is the case those require a tune as True dual change thing around enough to require it. While TTS has very few True Dual calibrations I beleive that Kuryakyn has them on there site. You should start with a True Dual calibration as that does effect the decel popping your talking about.

Hi Steve,

Thanks. Have learned more. Finally got to see what file was being used and noticed they uploaded for a 96 and not a 103. Since I updated the software and tuner, I am having trouble using and converting a MT8 file I found on the Kuryakyn website. It appears the update requires a MT9 file to be used for calibration upload to the bike? Please excuse my ignorance, as I am still rehabilitating from injuries and much memory was lost and still struggling somewhat. Sadly, just dont have the money anymore to find someone to help me at this point.

Lastly, as I am still working on the conversion, think if i load the Kuryakyn, copy all the data, then load a generic MT9 file, paste over, and re-save that may work? Is there a TTS calibration file that may work as good for my configuration? Stock 2009 with Stage 1, True Duals and V&H Slash Cuts.

Thanks again.

Give me exactly what you have currently install with year and model and I can see if I think there is something closer. Also give me the Kuryaykn calibration you are running.

Hi Steve,
Configuration..
2009 Tri-GLide
Stage 1
Kuryakyn True Duals (understand made by and same as V&H?)
V&H Slash Cut Slip Ons
Ultra Cool Oil Coller
All else Stock

Was able to convert the following Kuryakyn File to MT9: 2008-2009-103-AC-True-Duals-Crusher-Mufflers-fnl.MT7....Uploaded yesterday and bike is running much better. Still has a bit of back fire.

Am going to try and upload (today) the TTS calibration file: DAC205-04-AO.MT9 as recommended by Mr. Wizard.

Appreciate your attention and help. I don't know anyone near where I live, and financially not in position to get paid help at this time. Any other settings I need to think about changing during the upload?

Thanks again,
Pops

Like Steve said.... TTS has very few DUAL exhaust calibrations.

You can either use the one I suggested and the TTS/D that you downloaded. Decel pop issues can be smoothed out with a few adjustments in the calibration tables but if they persist you may want to check for exhaust leaks. Too large of a baffle will also create decel and shift pops. Again, workable in the TTS calibration tables for the most part.

Like I say... can't tune a broken bike but you sure can find a broken bike while tuning.

I've got to get back.... you guys take care.

As Wiz has stated it's all tunable. I would take the time to learn how to use the product and get a Vtune recording of how it is now. That data can and should be used to generate a new calibration that trims it to YOUR bike. This is all covered in Chapter 4 of the tuning Guide that is provided with our product and can be downloaded from our Web site too.
