Try this on your rusty wheels

Bar Keepers Friend Liquid, try this on your rusty spokes. Rinse the heck out of it with lots of water when you are done, if u don't it will leave a light white coat on. I use a soft bristle old tooth brush and a lot of elbow grease. It beats paying 4 new wheels. JMO

Good tip 'Jack.... Iv'e been using it for years, I get the powered form its sold in the laundry aisle of most Supermarkets... I mix it with water to make a paste...

Word of caution it contains Oxalic Acid....You might not want to get down too close to the wheel and breed it in...Otherwise its a great product....ThumbUp

I've used Bar Keepers Friend for years on various things, but especially on DW's (Dear Wife) pot & pan bottoms since we have a propane rangetop. Works great. Have used it on bike wheels and after rinsing well ~ I use White Diamond metal polish. Really cleans things up nice.
