Trip pics

Looks like the southwest. Tell us about the Aliner camper. Jim
The trip was from Ohio to South Dakota ,then to coos bay Oregon . Then we worked our way down highway 101 ,and highway 1 to big sur California . We left there and started home through Lake Tahoe ,across old rt 50 to interstate 70.home. We made a lot of stops a long the way, creator lake was one of them.
The aliner camper,I bought from another board member here. I made a few small changes to fit our needs. It is basicly just a bed with under bed storage,a battery, and front storage where we keep our cooking supplies. On the back is a cooler rack and a small fold out table that I made to put the camp stove on if needed. We did use it several times on this trip. Manufacture claimed weight is 400 lbs empty . I think it weighs a little more than that. I would not try to pull any distants with a 2 wheel bike.

It wouldn't be my cup of tea to pull that behind in mountain ranges. Did you find it pushing you hard down the slopes? When I came down Big Horn I was pulling an Escapade loaded and I decided that would be the last time. It took some of the :D's away from me. :AGGHH:

Very nice job capturing your journey. Thanks for sharing :clapping:.

Not much of a problem stopping it even coming down big horn. The problem for me was going up. 4 times, big horn being one of them, I had to pull off the road and let the fans cool the motor down. At no time did I let it get hot enough to boil over and never let the gage get to the hot mark.It only took a couple of minutes to cool off. The trike stopped it fairly well. Camper brakes are not hooked up. I don't plan to pull it on that big of a trip again. There were times it was windy and the posted speed limit was 80 mph.and I did not feel I could go much over 70 mph. The wind and uneven road would move the trike around to much for my liking,so I could not travel as fast as I would have liked at times.

I didn't have any problem going up and the traffic was slow. My trike pulled it like a champ and no worries about overheating. I had the brakes replaced on my return home and they were past due to take that trip. I just felt uncomfortable with it pushing me down the steep grades and at the same time listening to my freaked out backseat copilot yelling demands. I now pack a roll of duct tape as a threatening measure.

I kept hearing from my copilot ,is that a police car up there, how fast are you going? The last day she wanted to get home and I don't think I heard that all day. A few times she would tell what the speed limit sign said.i told her that was just for cars and trucks. Most of the time if I am over the speed limit ,it is only 5 mph. When the limit was 80 , I was under it most of the time. Not only did I not like pulling the camper that fast,it sure liked the gas at that speed.

Thanks for posting your trip. I like your trailer camper but the wife isn't a happy camper so that means hotels every night. We were on most of your trip last year and loved all of it. I'm just not good a getting photos posted anymore. Thanks again for posting trip.
