Trike question

2012 tri-glide 103 engine. does anyone know why that when i fill my trike up with gas and the reserve calibrates to maybe 225 or so showing miles to go before empty, that a street glide 2012 can fill up and show 320 miles with same size tank 6 gal. is there a way to recalibrate this reserve problem?

Tri Glide is a heavier machine, I think by about 200ibs.

Lower gas mileage = fewer miles per tank.

225? I only see that # in my dreams. If you still have the stock ECM program that is really lean then you are way under powered. Took my dealer 2 tries before he got it right. Running richer, maybe timing bumped up. Its extremely rare I even see 200 on that remaining miles. It does seem to start out with whatever the previous tanks mileage range was. I always squeeze that last to fill 1/2 gal also. Note mine is a '10 TG. On the highway, Doing 70, usually that # resets to around 170 for me. And that is really how many miles I would get.

With a strong head wind (20 mph) mine will drop to around 25 .
