Just over 1000 miles on my 2016 triglide and want to replace the transmission oil with redline shockproof. What is the weight of this oil? I've seen 75/140 and also 80 weight. Thanks for anyone's input.

I have been using Red Line transmission oil with Shockproof sine I did my 5000 mile service (getting ready for my 50K service soon) and I am very happy with it. I think the old containers said 75/180, but the new cans say "compares to a 75W250 gear oil, providing 3x the viscosity in the thin layers between the gear teeth with the lower internal fluid friction of a 75W90 gear oil" "Visit REDLINEOIL.com for more detailed information." I didn't, cause it just works!

I am going to change at my 10K in another thousand miles. Red Line has one listed as V-Twin I am looking at. One oil for tranny and one for primary.

I personally use them both. I like them better than the syn 3 or dino oil that the MOCO would have you use.

I use Bel Ray Big Twin Transmission Oil. It's rating is 85W-140

I have been using Bel Ray since 2003. It has worked very well for me. Found out about it from the guys at the dealership that built and raced fuel drag bikes. Figured if it was good enough for a fuel bike than it should hold up for my putting around.

I had the same question when I wanted to switch, so I called Red line Tech and they said it's 90W. They have both Red line with Shockproof and Red line V-Twin Transmission Oil with shockproof, It's the same fluid just different labels. https://www.redlineoil.com/news_article.aspx?id=49
