Towing rack

Here's a popular way to do it and one that I've used for forty years of towing VW trikes. Make quick-release attachment points under trike frame for ends of towbar, include a cradle for front wheel to sit in, and put standard trailer hitch coupler on front of towbar. Add a strap or two (not shown in photo) to secure wheel in cradle, lift the front end and attach like a trailer. It tows like a trailer and can be backed up like a trailer as well. With the right towbar design it can be made to store up under the trike frame so you'll always have it with you - that's come in handy for me on more than one occasion in the past.
